I had a very disappointing experience with Ambience Air and would not recommend them. Unfortunately, issues during the installation of our unit led to increased charges to the amount in our contract. While they do say this on the contract sheet, the fact that they contract out installation means that they don’t care about what happens after they get your money! In our case, this meant we had a poorly designed system (by Ambience), half installed, with a drainage pipe at our front door unless we paid extra money for extra pumps. Talk about gun to the head. The additional money side of the issue is frustrating but not the major cause of my annoyance. At no stage would Ambience Air talk to me about the problem, admit that their process had caused the issue or engage in any discussion about where they might have done better or be able to help? I paid Ambience to do a job, and they outsourced a poorly designed system to an installer and then did not want to know about it. The customer has to deal with the issue. That’s not the type of business I want to deal with.

Thank you Ambience Air for sending out a Great Team led by Dave & Shane the Electrician to efficiently & flawlessly install our New Ducted Panasonic Air conditioning System 2 weeks ago.We waited less than 1 month from deposit until installation, And that during the busiest & hottest time of the year too !!! “A BIG PS “ !!!! - Without a mention of a prior quote on exact same Panasonic system - Ambience Air was $3000 LESS THAN “Ford & Doonan”

My experience with Ambience Air was really bad.

Firstly, temperature sensors were quoted but none was installed. They said this controller doesn't come with temperature sensors. Then they said there are available sensors but not useful, we should not use them. But the indoor sensor didn't work properly so we had an uncontrollable aircon. Reported the issue immediately but they ignored. We had quite a lot of sickness and sleepless nights because of this (increasing 0.5C it became too hot, decreasing 0.5C it became too cold). And they talked like we didn't know how to use the aircon. Six months later they came to check and didn't even realise the problem until I asked them how the aircon can stop blowing cold air when the house is cold enough. Then they was speechless. Yet, they said they are the experts. The aircon was set to 24C and the house temperature was already 20C and it kept blowing cool air until you were so sick that you had to turn off the aircon yourself.

During installation, the pipe insulations were ripped off. I reported immediately but they ignored. I continued asking about this then a few months later they said that they will fix it but after 1 year no one shows up. Yet, they said they have good customer support.

We ended up getting a few temperature sensors installed in case the new indoor sensor didn't work properly (and we were right!, if we listened to them, we would have suffered from the uncontrollable aircon). They sent a salesman to the roof to do the wiring and ended up doing it wrongly. The new sensor did not work, the error message kept popping up but they said all is good and left. I called and they said they will fix but no one showed up after 3 days. Yet, they said they are professionals and installed according to industrial standards.

The aircon stopped cooling air from 38C, which I reported immediately but they also ignored. Then 6 months later they said they could not check because the weather was not hot anymore. They started to blame the sensor, then lack of aircon gas, then because of me not knowing how to use the aircon... Then they sent a warranty agent to check the problem with a small note that they should not discuss with us about this with the intention to hide the problem. They also went to the outdoor unit to take a lot of photos, they got the report from the warranty agent saying that the outdoor unit location is not good and it causes the performance issue. But then they started to lie about it, including the office admin, the salesman, the support team, the managers, the operations manager. Yet they said they care about their customers.

I also sent them the assessment from the manufacture Panasonic saying that it is better to relocate the outdoor unit to fix the air re-circulation problem. But they kept ignoring this until they realised that they could not lie to me anymore. They ended up insisting me to install an air deflector hopefully it will fix the problem but it did not. Even with the air deflector, on 27C day, the outdoor unit temperature increased to 29C while it was running and on 32C day, the outdoor unit temperature increased to 37C, so the air re circulation is still really bad. I told them I don't need this air deflector. There is no way this aircon will work properly when outside is 43C like the last summer. I told them to check again but they continued to ignore. Yet, they told me to enjoy the aircon (which did not work when I really needed it).

In total, I paid $15,000 for the brand new aircon (which stopped working immediately for 1 month of summer) with non-existing customer service and had to deal with a dodgy company. This is really a nightmare!

To new customers, please think again if you intend to choose this company. They will not be on your side once they have your money.

To existing customers, if you have aircon problems, please get someone else to check or just call the manufacturer, then ask Ambience Air to fix them. It is likely their fault although they will keep pretending that they don't know what is going on.

The level of service was very professional from the outset. Installation day was a pain free exercise with minimal disruption. The team were very friendly and helpful. We were left with no mess to clear up and the patching needed on the ceilings is invisible. Great job all round and reasonably priced too.

We would definitely recommend Ambience Air in Joondalup to anyone thinking of installing RC ducted aircon! Shaun was fantastic to deal with. Our install wasn’t straight forward, a ducted system into a house built in the 1970s over 2 stories and 2 split levels is no easy feat! We ended up with a great end result and the team accommodated our requirements right down to round vents instead of square! Extremely affordable price too. Thanks to Shaun and the installers for your professional service!

Quotation was very reasonable and met my expected budget I went with a replacement ducted air system. The crew on the day of install showed up on time, and had the old system ripped out and loaded in the trailer in a hour. The installation went flawlessly everything was completed before lunchtime. No mess the team left the place cleaner than it was before they arrived. Very happy with the system. I can’t find fault with anything and no unsightly ceiling holes to fill everything replaced where the old system ceiling components were installed. Very happy with choosing Ambience Air

The friendly team organised an in house visit to quote for a ducted system for my 3x2 property which I did not have plans for. They drew up plans and quoted on the spot taking me through a few options and providing some recommendations. The whole experience was professional, transparent and honest the whole way through which I absolutely loved. I booked in for an install which occurred roughly 3 weeks later which was great turnaround for this busy time of year.. Quick drop off of equipment the day before install, no issues whatsoever on the day of install and the finished product is absolutely amazing! Big thanks to the team for their professionalism and guidance the whole way through - would highly recommend these guys to anyone in the area!
