Apace grows local native seedlings, great if you are going native in your garden or on your verge. Prices much cheaper than a garden centre. Usually during May each year they have a sale with tube stock $2 each. This organisation has a volunteer work group, but also some very knowledgeable experts that may be able to answer your questions. Check online for opening hours as they are not open every day.

I really enjoyed going there to find native plants so close by. It is near the North Freo bridge with a fresh and peaceful atmosphere. The plant information is displayed on signs above the seedlings and any additional growing tips can be given by the friendly nursery staff.

Thanks Apace volunteers for your help in the crazy busy that was the first day of your annual May - City Council subsidised specials.. I'd never been on day 1 before.
To the people refilling the tube stock trays, those running from customer to customer to help them find plants or information and the guy seemingly tireless on the till with no rest break in sight.. you all seemed so cool calm and collected despite the pace you were keeping!
What a lovely venue to visit and to build my garden from.
I very much value the plant regions on your website to help buy the right plants for my suburb.
The wild Corella flock playing and preening in the overlooking eucalypts were lovely entertainment in the queue too... Although maybe all the humans walking around picking up plants were entertaining them too!
See next May, if not before,

Friendly, knowledgeable staff and quality native plants at great prices make this the metro area's 'best kept nursery secret'. Have used their stock to plant out my entire front yard and couldn't be happier with the results. Won't go anywhere else for native plants!
