Absolutely gorgeous place. Accessible for all. Great swimming spot. Beautiful vista to the boulders and clear water. Sandy bottom to pool in most parts. Additional area further round for the more adventurous. A short 400m? Walk from free camp site with toilet block & cold shower. We had a cassowary walk thru the back of camp. Beautiful spot.

This place is breathtaking. Clear crystal blue/Emerald water. Great place to cool off, is great for young kids to as there is plenty of shallow water. For the bigger kids there is rock a rock climb to a swing!
Public toilets were clean, great place for a picnic with plenty of shade.

Convenient facilities such as a changing room and a freshwater tap are available for your comfort. Be sure to bring your swimwear or shorts—you won’t want to miss out, especially after seeing others, including children, reveling in the experience.

We walked all the way to both lookouts: Boulders lookout and the Devil’s pool lookout. Had a swim in the designated swimming spot afterwards. The trails are all sealed with two small flights of stairs right at the end of the trail. Weather looked rainy and misty from the Bruce Hwy, though we decided to still try it out, and so glad we did as it turned out to be lovely and not far off the highway. Offers caravan parking too.

Such a stunning place for a swim, very refreshing when it’s hot outside.
The water is super clear from both streams, it comes together (a confluence) before it travels down the Babinda Rocks or falls.
It’s a dangerous section of river so don’t go in the water near the rocks.
There’s plenty of parking but it gets packed at peak times. There are toilets, picnic tables and bins.
It’s a nice walk to see the boulders but it’s up and down for about 1km.
Well worth a visit

Beautiful spot for a swim near the carpark but definitely don’t swim downstream in the boulders. Like the signs say - you will drown.

Great spot for a swim and cool down on a hot day. Quieter during the week, with only a few tourists. Weekends can get quite busy and parking can be a problem. Nice sandy shallow spot for the kids to play.
