A bakery that sells stale baked goods? The jam donuts were so stale they were rock hard and the raisin snail pastry, which the shop assistant promptly corrected me and said it was called a raisin escargot was equally dry and hard and we were charged a premium for stale baked good in a bakery.

This place has poor staff hygiene. The lady behind the counter was cleaning the glass with windex when I came, she had gloves on. I bought a loaf of bread and she used the same gloves to handle the bread loaf, took my money and then proceeded to continue cleaning with the same gloves. I wonder how many hours she had the same pair on for. Just because someone is wearing gloves doesn’t mean that they are clean. Its better not to have gloves on in this case and to wash your hands after handling chemicals and money and before touching food.

Conveniently located in Claremont Quarter next to Coles supermarket, small but offers good range of bread and pastries. The coffee is good too. Only downside is the baguette feels a bit spongey and tasteless to me all the time...

A year later and they are still making their rolls with a tiny sliver of avocado at the front so it can be seen while on display at the counter, but when you open the roll up there is no avo through the rest of it.

While the fresh rolls are delicious, the amount of avocado in a "chicken and avo" roll has become a bit of joke with one tiny sliver placed at the front of the roll to make it look like it has avo in it, but there is none in the rest of the roll. This has happened the past few times I have bought from there in every chicken roll. Please stop doing this, it's intentionally misleading, disappointing and frustrating. Either lower the price and make it a chicken & salad roll, or put a reasonable amount in. The Barrett's bakery in Nedlands don't do this at all so please stop doing it at the Claremont Quarter store.

Terrible excuse for a bakery. Sourdough bread is at least a day, maybe two old. Don't even think it's worth freezing and using for toast. I don't review often but avoid this place and just go to Coles.

I asked the lady at the counter whether there was wholemeal sourdough bread available. She replied that the sourdough loaf (no mention of wholemeal or rye on the tag) was wholemeal, so I bought it. Later on I cut a couple of slices to find that it was a white loaf. Very disappointed. I won't be buying anything from them in future.

No Dietary Warnings - I bought a spinach and ricotta roll which was really good, but I was surprised to find almonds in it. There was no nut warning on the rolls pricing sign. This needs to be addressed as this is dangerous for those with nut allergies as you wouldn't expect them to be in there.
