I was charged $220 more than what I was quoted upon picking up the items. However, I do blame myself for not requesting a copy of the quotation when I was quoted initially, for they would have no leg to stand on with changing the amount. Incorrect guage base plates where half welded on to the posts, not to mention the cold service, and the waste of my time now having to rectify the plates.

I have bought my steel from beauy Gates & Steel for a long time, and its a pleasure walking in and talking to the staff, which are always friendly and helpful, and their prices are very competitive, they are a locally owned business doing it hard, I will always buy my steel here.

As a sole trader I have bought a lot from theses guys over 8 years. Found i was looking at a damaged piece of old stock and asked for the price and from my 30 years of domestic building knew it was way too high, obvious mistake. Questioned it very politely and showed other correct prices on websites. Wouldn't move on the price so went to a hardware store and bougjt it for half their price. Wrong attitude and I was tteated like a fool. Won't ever go back.

Wow. Was planning on ordering the FIRST lot of my fencing from these people only about a $450 order for the first lot. I spoke on 2 seperate occasions to the business owner and he was fantastic and very helpful gave me a excellent quote. However, He asked me to ring back when "Beck" was back from a delivery to go ahead with my order/Delivery. I did exactly that, to get a BLUNT Beck and downright NO to my order and delivery. Wow some customer service shinning through there NOT!!!! Going elsewhere.....

Top quality service from a locally owned family business. The pricing of materials here is very reasonable and the boys in the workshop are very helpful when it comes to a customised order. Will be coming back again!
