A quaint late Sunday stop in on a road trip, well worth it for the atmosphere, the staff and the food. I would like to corroborate another reviewers claim that they have the best Guinness in NSW, I don't know what magic the publican is weaving but that was a drink to remember.
I'm a lover of a pot pie and I could easily rate this as a top contender for the best
I've ever eaten. Perfect ratio of tender meat, well selected veggies and a fluffy potato mash on the side. Good generous portion for a hard working gal.
My partner's Texan Chicken Snitty was also generous and perfectly cooked. Proper pub feeds to be found here.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, I felt like I was at an old friends place, even on my first visit.
From a foodie and ex-cook, my most sincere compliments to the chef and gracious thanks to the serving staff.
I do believe I have found a new traditional stop when I'm coming through here.
Thank you for having us!

It's sad that the previous owner is selling the business. It was a great pub under his management. Motorbike riders were always welcome and always had a great time there.

Great place for a meal. I discovered it accidentally and so pleased I will be going back. The toilets could use a makeover.

Upgrading my review to include that the roast meal I had this year was amazing.
This is a fun country pub. Make sure you talk to Mike, he is a lot of fun. Also consider making donation to the local charity, there are lots of notes on the ceiling of the bar and it all goes to local charity.
Rooms upstairs are clean.
Our room had a shared shower and toilet. Room had air conditioning. No TV. Offers good value for the price of the room.

While there are 2 or 3 good pubs in this town, we decided to have dinner here as it was where we were staying the night after a day of cherry picking in nearby Wombat.
Prices were quite reasonable, and on the Tuesday night I was there they had a $10 fish, chips and salad special that was great value. My travelling companion had the $26 fish of the day, which happened to be salmon.
I appreciated my cold schooner of Guinness out the back in their beer garden, and retreated back into the charming and spacious dining room for my meal.
Service was friendly, obliging and unrushed. I also note that while they took their coronavirus contact tracing obligations seriously, they weren't totally obsessed and jacked up over it, which made me feel all the more welcome. Dinner here was a pleasure, and what a charming old building too!
