I found some old family film reels back from the late 70s, early 80s and decided to have them digitalised as I wanted to preserve the memories of loved ones who have passed on. Having tried another service provider with poor results, I gave Andrew a call and was surprised at the excellent quality of the films and the cost was more than competitive. Andrew and I exchanged several emails where he showed me samples and advised me of the process and what was involved in cleaning/dusting the reels. It was just a lovely experience and I am so glad to be able to share the movies with my children and grandchildren. I highly recommend Andrew and Bowline Media.

My mother left a wonderful collection of memories for the family in the form of Super 8 home movies. I came across these recently and decided to have them converted to a digital format so that they could be preserved, shared and enjoyed with all members of the family. After a disappointing outcome with a local company near my home in Melbourne I discovered Bowline Media through an Internet search and couldn’t be happier. The results have been outstanding in terms of service and end product. The process from sending the movies through Australia Post, communicating via email with Andrew at Bowline and receiving the movies at our front door has been seamless. Andrew was wonderful as I had a very short timeframe to get the converted 8mm films to my elderly parents and he accommodated our needs perfectly. As we had no idea what was on the reels it was a such a surprise watching them and seeing memories from our childhood. I cannot recommend Bowline enough for their professional service.

From the very first contact Andrew was so professional and it was evident he knew his business. Have just received all our converted Super 8 and video films. Such a professional job and with some over 50 years old the picture quality and colour was incredible. Amazing service that goes above and beyond!
We went to Andrew from Bowline Media to get some old 8mm family films digitised. The films were about 62 years old and severely water damaged. Andrew not only managed to get a significant amount of footage from the damaged reels, but took the time to explain all the processes to us, AND get the digitised copies back to us within days!! We were able to view the priceless memories we’d thought we’d lost forever!
We wouldn’t trust anyone else with our cherished family footage and have no hesitation in recommending Bowline Media’s services to anyone looking to digitally enhance and preserve their film and photography.

My family had some old Super 8 cine films that were over 60 years old. They have followed us around the world and probably not been stored in ideal conditions. I contacted Andrew at Bowline Media and asked if it was possible to digitise these films and save them onto an external hard drive which I could then share with all the family so they had them to keep and pass on as the years go by.

Bowline Media did an an amazing job and salvaged these incredible images of a life growing up in Africa in the 60's and 70's. Our children and grandchildren are now able to gain a real sense of their heritage. They can see and understand where their physical features and characteristics come from. It's a lasting legacy and I can highly recommend Bowline Media to help you rediscover your history.
