Lovely. Not busy really. Only 3 other campers while I was there. Local boys came for a fish. Very pleasant. Flushing toilets. Just close the lid. Frogs etc

Great free camp! Nice and peaceful, with plenty of room for vans and tents, plus you can venture further down river for more privacy. Non potable water and toilets, no power, and cold water showers (comes from the muddy river)

Would be a lovely place to stay. Unfortunately it looks like nothing much has been done to clean it up since the flood, except put fresh toilet paper in the loos and wipe them down. All the signs, tables, walls of the amenities and shower heads show signs of the flood still. Not sure what the water in the showers used to be like, but it's brown and I wouldn't recommend using it.
The edges of the river are still very soft from the flood, 8" of mud the poor dog didn't expect and, like many places near water the mozzies like to say hi in the evening.
Despite all this, the sunset was magnificent, the trees are amazing, and I think once it dries up and gets a good clean it could be a very worthwhile stop.

Lovely spot by the river. The #trek2reconnect has arrived in Brewarrina. Four mile os a nice handstand area with quite a few trees. Shame about the stinky fish. Toilets are basic but clean. Cold showers were a nice refresh on a 45 deg day. Beware the trees they drop leaves. Make sure you know where you are going before you arrive as mobile signal is patchy and some confusing signage and also one cheeky bit of marketing that seeks to confuse the driver into going to their place instead of 4 mile.

Great spot beside the river, plenty of room to find your own privatish location. Lots of good shade trees, With the river flooding at the moment the trail in and out went underwater, but there is another longer way out.

Down side was a fair amount of litter at the spot I was at which I cleaned up, Also the police seem to to regular patrols there too which is nice.

Iconic Australian landscape - majestic gum trees, muddy flowing river with towering banks. Great spot for vans. Toilets leave a bit to be desired - ladies leaks every flush. Showers available with cold water. All in all not bad considering it is free!!

Beautiful camping area on the river Barwon with basic amenities. It’s completely quiet and you can get some great pics here. It’s about an 8 minute drive into town where you can pick up groceries - but the shops close at 6pm on weekdays and 2pm on Saturday. Best to pick up stuff from Bourke or Walgett if you want more choice. A beautiful spot! Great birdwatching, fishing and just sitting down and tuning out.
