I visited Bunnings Bundamba around 2:30 PM today and purchased several items. On my way out, I noticed a staff member near the entrance who was casually checking receipts — but not for every customer. I also saw her handing out a green promotional item to some customers. I politely asked if I could have one too, and what it was — I thought it might be an apron.

The staff member responded that there was only one left, and emphasized it in a way that strongly implied she didn’t want to give it to me. She added, “It’s just a basic apron,” but made no effort to offer it. Her tone and attitude made me feel like she had already decided I didn’t deserve it, even though I had spent around $500 at Bunnings over the past two days.

I wasn’t asking for something for free without making a purchase — I simply wanted to be treated the same as the other customers. The way she highlighted that there was “only one left” felt like an excuse not to give it to me, and I couldn’t help but feel discriminated against. The other customers receiving the item appeared to be Australians, while I am Asian — which made me wonder if that played a part in the way I was treated.

It was an uncomfortable and upsetting experience. Other staff at Bunnings have always been helpful and friendly, which makes it even more disappointing that a few individuals can negatively affect the overall image of the store.
I truly hope Bunnings takes situations like this seriously and ensures all customers are treated fairly and respectfully.

Needs more staff!! Staff also need to be trained to get customers out the door quickly and jump on a till to do so. They also need to be trained in dealing with problems instead of pretending they dont exist. Either no one or one person in the paint section, leaving customers waiting. It isn't fair that they have to cop it from annoyed customers when management isn't doing enough. Management needs to step up.

Went in today to grab a couple of things and decided to have a coffee. The lady was super nice and made my coffee exactly how I like it. After a interesting morning dropping my kids to school the coffee has hit the spot. Thanks

Customer service is lovely.

Parking is plentiful, spacious, and easy to navigate. Some people should drive slower but that's not Bunnings fault.

Very large elevators for when you've splurged or bought large items.

The only issue I've had are aisles being regularly shut off. I understand re-stocking needs to be done at some point but it seems every visit that there has been 2-3 aisles taped off, making products nearby inaccessible.

Bunnings Bundamba on every level is a store that does things well with a real sense of community. Its a pretty much one stop shop for all your home and gardening needs and the staff from experience are really friendly. Beth for example helped me to navigate what would be needed for gardening, really friendly and with excellent knowledge. Also with a matter relating to a mower which I was having issues with, Amber did a great job in resolving my issue, managing the issue top class. Bunnings were also hot on in the way of contact, with a clear dedication to resolve a matter that I was passionate about. The team has a real ability to care and cater for customers; Bunnings might be a big business with lots of excellent value prices, but with this commitment to their customers-- even to help where the store may not stock a certain product (rare but not impossible) they certainly aren't of the 'we're to big to fail' category. They represent everything that's great about Australia and the people; I even got a free hat (check out their buckets and hats; almost as famous as their sausage sizzles!)
I get a lot of home and garden stuff from Bunnings and with such experiences, they will have a regular customer for life.

Returns was busy but amazing customer service. Bunnings receipts have also been put on OnePass from April 1st onwards so they were able to use the QR Code for an exchange thank god I didn’t need to find the receipt

Rude elderly staff that will completely ignore your existence while scanning items (the old lady simply couldn't give up a conversation with her co-worker).

Door lady has been scrolling Facebook on at least 5 of the times I've visited the store.

Several store isles are completely packed with product to be shelved with nobody actually working, to the point of needing to access the isle from another side.

The only staff in this Bunnings that gave a normal standard of customer service were the young ones.

An express click and collect turned into 25minutes in store of no staff at the desk, a picked order that had been lost, and a staff member picking the order while I waited, being taken away by other shoppers on his journey. He tries his best to rectify the situation.

This location needs better staff and training.

It's 6:15am the doors and gates are closed while I wait to get material. Left shortly after.
No mention of reduced or no hours for the Ipswich show holiday
