I’m a long time customer normally served by Matt who unfortunately left the business.
I’ve had 3 traumatic dealings over the phone in the past few days with the supervisor in charge Paul. I requested him cut my marrow bones up in the way Matt did so my dogs don’t choke. He didn’t like this and asked me to go down to the store and have the conversation with him there instead of over the phone. I said no, I normally ring up to check if they have enough worth my time(also I have other butchers on back up when bushes don’t have bones, & they are always more than happy to assist me in the way I request) Paul had 1 bone left he cut up into Tim Tam size pieces(ignored my request after he screamed at me that he had confirmed with Matt how their meant to be cut)which were too small for my dogs (choking hazard) so they had to go in the bin. I just spoke to him again and was screamed at again and abused.Refused to answer my question about when I can purchase more, and refused to give me head office or owners details.This individual is extremely scary and as a woman I felt very threatened and uncomfortable. I’m warning other consumers of this threatening behaviour.

I normally buy from your shop, your staff know us and always acknowledges me with a wave when I'm passing.
The service is great and the meats always look fresh, however i passed the store today and noticed you were displaying the Australian flag, I congratulate you for being proud of your flag and country, well done.

Purchased beef mince from this butcher. The lady that served me handled the meat with her bare hands, no gloves. Then went home to find the meat was off. Won't be going there again.

The one star here is not for the quality of meat but the staff’s behavior. I am posting this after consistently observing this behavior. They don’t cut chicken pieces after 3 pm suggesting they have washed the machine so even if the shop is open till 5 you have to show up before 3 pm. Highly inconvenient. They would try to avoid removing skin of the chicken and cut pieces suggested that they don’t do it here. When I called them out that I’ve seen them do it, they finally agreed. However, it left a bad taste of service. I think both the employees aren’t looking to sell and grow the customer base. I hope the owner takes some action as I wanted to be a regular customer but I won’t after repeated misbehavior.

Omg I am so excited to find a local butcher that sells awesome beef ribs! Made this Korean beef rib soup and my family is in soup heaven.

The beef ribs are so meaty and you get more bang for your buck. The ribs are soooo tender after slow cooked for 1.5hrs.

I love this cut and so much meat! I’m clearing their beef ribs supply whenever they stock up.

We get meat from here quite often but have found they consistently mix up the pork and veal schnitzels so we are paying veal schnitzel price for pork schnitzels. This has happened multiple times and is very disappointing.

Just watched the person serving cough in her hands, then handle the eftpos, then serve more customers. She handled raw meat with her hands and then handle the eftpos machine. Never saw her clean her hands once. I was watching for more than 10 minutes.

That is not OK normally, and is totally unacceptable during COVID19. This is how clusters are created.

I brought a bag of dog bones today without asking for the price first (my fault, I know but come on, it’s dog bones).
I was charged $10 for a 1kg bag of dog bones!!!
Just a tip for everyone, the butcher at Northmead sells a bag of dog bones for less than half this price.
