I have used busy bob for removing n rehanging an external door that was fully painted. Made it easy. Altering a couple of external French doors for clients n rehanging an positioning was a breeze in getting the job right. I feel the hex bit required to lift n lower should be part of the kit since everything else fits in the busy bob bag. Great invention.

Great tool for adjusting doors and holding while cutting hinges or mortice locks. Even helped in repairing a water damaged cupboard that needed a new shelf.
If the knurling on the base screw was bigger/coarser it would make it easier to adjust height with a boot!

Thanks to the Busy Bob holding doors & trying to get them in place with wedges bars etc. The busy bob made all that so easy with the drill in one hand & the door hinge in the other, all the weight was on the busy bob. What a great tool to have in your tool kit its a must. I would recommend this to all 2nd fix carpenters or just anyone who installs doors.

Was a little skeptical when I first got the tool as I felt it might be a little cumbersome but after hanging 8 doors by myself using the busy bob I can absolutely recommend it! Makes it so much easier to get doors in just the right spot to do the job right the first time every time. I wouldn't want to hang a door without it!

As a locksmith/door repair business operating in the UK i came across this tool via my brother who lives in Australia, as i was telling him the difficulty of handling doors single handed. What a brilliant bit of kit, theirs nothing like it available in the Uk. Bought online through their website the tool arrived ten days later from Australia. Easy to use single handed, handles the heavier doors with ease and paid for itself on the first job i used it on. Its my go to tool every time i have to remove or hang doors now,makes the job a 100 times easier. Not only that it impresses customers and gets quite a reaction when they see you using such a professional bit of kit. Very pleased with this tool.

This tool definitely makes hanging doors much easier for lifting and alignment. I only have a couple things that annoy me a bit. The first one is that I use a bit holder with short shank bits, these are not long enough to engage the top tube to rotate it, I had to swap to long shank bits for it to work. The second is that when I pull the driver bit out often it grabs and pulls the tube out with it then the tube falls off and lands on the ground, if you need to slightly adjust height again you find yourself trying to balance a door and fumbling around to pick up the tube and reinsert it. The first issue is no biggie but the second is for a tool that is quite expensive, surely there could have been a locking coupling for that sort of price. It would have been 5 stars if was sorted out.

Edit, I have had a chance to use this a bit more and taken the manufacturers advice which does help. I would still like a bit more of a positive lock on the tube connection but all said and done this is a pretty good product

I’m a carpenter with 30 years experience and have had a ‘busy bob’ for about 18 months. I have found it extremely useful for both 2340 and 2740 doors and have also used it to install wall cladding sheets on my own. It is simple to use and balances doors beautifully. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
