Caber House was a peaceful getaway. With beautiful views, bed and breakfast, and a peaceful location. Sheryl was very accommodating and friendly. Would recommend.

I am still here...will leave soon. This is one of those rare places you stumble on & marvel that this stunning architect designed self built home even exists. You want quietness contemplative solitude within a superb spacious bedroom etc then this is the place to come. Hosts very friendly & welcomingwe

Lovely place with great scenery. Good spot for a stopover and a weekend break. Delicious cakes to go with your coffee. Hosts were very welcoming and informative. Great spot for bird watching.

Stayed at Caber House for 2 nights with a friend. What a wonderful place! It reeks of class with underfloor heating in both bathroom and bedroom, quality linen and fixtures. There are thoughtful touches such as toiletries, reading material and a great dvd selection. Breakfast is provided and the coffee is superb! Thank you Sheryl and Geoffrey. We shall return.

We stayed for two nights in April and it was lovely. This was our second visit to Caber House and will probably not be the last. With easy access to Albany, the Porongurup National Park and the many wineries nearby we can highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the Great Southern. Delightful hosts and awesome coffee. Lovely hospitality
Immaculately clean, comfortable, modern, very well designed accommodation...
Peaceful surroundings with views of Stirling Ranges
Just on outskirts of Mt Barker so it's convenient as a base to explore the Porongurups and Stirling Ranges

We stayed at caber house for 2 nights, was meant to be 3 but decided to leave early as we had seen everything we needed to see. The place was nice but as for the host, we felt very uncomfortable around Sheryl as she made comments on our dress attire, then after leaving a review on air bnb about us being “impulsive and not prepared for rural conditions” which had very little to do with how we were as guests at the house and more to do with how we dressed and how we planned our trip. Felt very judged so would not stay here again. I found it also intrusive that she didn’t do housekeeping in our room but would let herself in to turn off the lights and fan? Was way overpriced for what it was also.

Love! Love! Love this place!
Three nights wasn't long enough.
Beautiful, unique and set in a gorgeous landscape.
Creature comforts included under floor heating; so warm and cozy. Great for a winter getaway!
