Kurt from Clark Ribber Kawana is absolutely amazing! He helped us to buy a mattress for our caravan and nothing was too much trouble for him! He had expert product knowledge and custom cut it to fit exactly our van. He genuinely gave time and thought to make sure we got exactly what we needed. Thank you Kurt!!!!

Been having our pool serviced for a while with CRK.

Two years ago pump and sand filter went.

Just recently chlorinator cell went and CRK came to fix it.

Pump is just days out of it's 2 year warranty. (Warranty ends Friday 29 November )

On Monday 3 December Cooper the pool man to fix the cell. The pump started on timer at 8:00am and my wife went to work with it running perfectly.

Get a phone call from the Cooper at 9:07 am telling me the pump is broken and a new one is required.
I say yes over the phone. Not much choice when you need a pump to run the pool.

Interesting that CRK have maintained the pool over the last two years.

Out of warranty by 2 days and we suddenly need a new pump.

The warrantly says replace the pump in the first year and replace the part but pay for labour in the second year.

No mention of warranty raised by CRK until I ring them up initially and inquire about warranty. Review old emails and check invoices from 2022.

I ring CRK to enquire about the warranty and the second year part replacement but Jenny is never in the office and doesn’t return my call.

The bill is paid.

I have cancelled the pool service with CRK.

Jenny does not return my calls.
I used to recommend CRK to everyone but now I can’t.

CRK has left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Cooper the pool man rings me today (not Jenny) and tells me:

1. Pump looked old and he assumed it was out of warranty.
2. CRK got new owners 2 years ago and that they own 4 Clark Rubber stores. (Ellen and Andrew are the owners)
3. Onga pumps ($400) aren’t worth repairing. Just replace with another one or buy a more expensive pump ($1500 was a figure mentioned by Cooper)

The unsavoury taste in my mouth just got worse after hearing that bit of information.

I hope that Clark Rubber Kawana and their owners Ellen and Andrew take stock of this.

Quality of service decline over time.
Poor choice of cheap pump.
Poor maintenance over two years.
Poor after-service customer care.

As a follow up to this I received this from the owner

We still do not have the replacement part.

The owners wants me to contact them rather than they follow-up any issue with the service one of their stores provides.

And at the 31st January, 2025 Clark Rubber Kawana send me a statement that reads -$6.47.

This is odd as at the start of December 2024 when this debacle happened I asked CRK to clear up any outstanding money owing so I could be rid of them for good. It appears that CRK could not even do that correctly.

I can only hope that as owners, Ellen and Andrew are reviewing the practices of CRK in pool services, accounting, customer service and warranty.

A one star rating is being kind to Clark Rubber Kawana. They do not even deserve that.

Quite bad. Even the buying experience wasn't great but when I had to return an invex pump the other day, oboy.
Out of about 4 visits only one was positive.

Exceptional service from Matthew F today, helping me restore my couch cushions.
Thank you so much.
The foam was cut in store and Matthew inserted them into the covers for me. He even helped me get them to the car.
The store was easy to locate and there is ample parking, staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

These guys are your go to for foam for mattresses or overlays or as I had a custom cut to fit my lounge covers.
They also do rubber, artificial grass and everything that has to do with your pool.

Bought a foam mattress from here a couple of months ago for the back on my 4x4 and went back today to ask if they could cut it to size for my new 4x4 and she told me go home and use a bred knife…

I was at the store today and I cannot rate the level of service highly enough, I was greeted at the door with enthusiasm. The salesperson Helen listened to my needs and offered me the best solution for a mattress topper that would suit my needs.
I could even test the product in store and after purchasing another kindly, happy staff member on hand carried my purchase to my car.
I also have a pool too so I’ll definitely be back.
