A smaller Coles supermarket by normal standards. It feels and looks a little old and dated, but is pretty convenient if you happen to live in the immediate area. I found that the staff were pretty cheery and helpful. I personally find Coles a little on the expensive side compared to Woolworths but you can still find a bargain or three if you are price savvy and know what to look for. Parking and access. There is a underground car park I think the clearance is around 1.8m so not suitable for large 4wds with roof racks attached. Also a very small car park near the outside of the coles entrance but in peak periods it's pretty much impossible to get a park in this area. However there is plenty of street parking around the complex. Unless you get a park out front, wheelchair access is a little limited. I do think there is a small elevator from the underground carpark. other than that there is ramp access from the car park if you don't mind the multi level walk with an armload of grocery items. This store does adhere to Covid 19 protocols with spacing markers in the cash register areas. Update May 2024. No significant changes to Coles Ferny Grove since my original review.

This is a messy place and very small choice the chicken breast in deli was dried out and apparently no more available at 3.30pm

I love this Coles. After 6pm it turns into an ambient apocalyptic wasteland. The music is so quiet it's more of a suggestion than anything, the aisles are so wide you feel like there's forty kms between each one, the white tile reflects your dead-eyed gaze as you linger in front of the bread rack ... it has a brilliant atmosphere. There's never any employees around but that's not a negative, because the one or two elusive ones you stumble across are helpful and polite, and you can recognise they've probably been trapped here for thousands of years. I genuinely love this Coles. It never has any stock but somehow always has exactly what I came in for. It's also clean and you're guaranteed to never run into anyone you know except for the one person you really can't stand, but you could also hide from them pretty easily. 5/5 stars, always. See you soon!!!

If you really want to get something (esp veggies/fruits) you are better off driving straight to Woolworths Keperra. But if you are ok with hit and miss and grab some other stuffs while you are there then it's good. Lots of parking around and some nice cafe's and bakery's in the complex.
