We’ve stayed at the motel quite a number of times now when visiting parents and it is by far the best accommodation in the town of Yass. Our hosts are very friendly and reception has a fridge where you can purchase water and a nice beer or wine. The rooms we’ve stayed in are freshly renovated with modern finishes, modern bathrooms(with rainwater shower head) a smart TV (essential) , reverse cycle a/c, fridge, toaster and crockery, glasses and cutlery plus a comfortable bed. Unlike most hotels and motels, Colonial offers a range of toiletries in case you forget to bring your own (tooth brushes, razor etc)…a very nice touch. The motel is located just on the edge of town but is still an easy walk to shops, cafes and restaurants. We’ll certainly be back…as far as we’re concerned no other options come close.

Pritpal was very welcoming and easy to deal with. He gave us lots of great information re the area and where to eat and go. |Our room was spotless and although on a main road - we were upstairs above reception the traffic did not keep us awake or bother us at all|The bed was super comfy and it was a well laid out room.|Our kitchenette was really well stocked.|As we had been travelling for the last 2 weeks and stayed in many great Motels, the Colonial Lodge was definately up there with the best.|We were very impressed and next time we travel to Yass I would rebook here.

We had a wonderful stay here while travelling through Yass recently. The rooms were spacious, well appointed and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. Our stay was very quiet with little noise despite its proximity to the road. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Newly refurbished and renovated, clean and neat. A good stay no complaints would definitely stay again. The hosts were friendly and the room didn’t disappoint, it’s a good Motel to stop at if you’re travelling on the Hume or going to Canberra.

Can recommend as the bathroom has been renovated recently, great shower!|Linen was excellent - clean, crisp sheets.|Service all round very good. Good location, close to all amenities in Yass.|Thank you & have already booked for next trip to Yass.

The greeting from the owners was very good. The room was comfortable and very clean and the price very reasonable. We could not fault this motel and would definitely stay there again if we are staying overnight in Yass. It was situated close to all the services that you would need.

Super easy late check in, clean and comfy room, modern bathroom. I booked a deluxe Queen room. Spacious. There was plunger coffee, a plunger and plenty of milk in the fridge. Booking over the phone from the Hume Highway was super easy. Monica was super helpful.

It's a nice location handy to eateries, within walking and short driving distance. The rooms are clean and have everything one needs for an overnight stay. We may very well use the Colonial next year. We have recommended this venue to our friends.
