Absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the service was incredible.. friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
I ordered the lamb malai, and it was hands down one of the best curries I've ever had.. rich, creamy, perfectly spiced, and melt-in-your-mouth tender.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with cosiness that makes you want to stay a while. Whether you're dining with family, friends, or passing through and looking to recharge... this place is great for everyone. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

So I just had the absolute best chicken Parmigiana I've ever had.
If I were a Jerilderie local I'd be eating at the colonial as often as I could. If you are passing through and it's food time stop here! The chips perfect the gravy sauce as good as it comes. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating. The beer glasses are clean, the tables are well set out. If your a family you can sit in a clean restaurant area with a kids area in view. If you want the bar you can eat there instead of the family room. I simply cannot fault anything about this place

"Jerilderie" is such a famous name that I can't believe I hadn't been there before. As far as Colony Inn is concerned, I'll just say that I'm glad we had booked two nights rather than one, and next time we're anywhere near in southern NSW, we'll go out of our way to return. Our room was clean, basic, comfortable, very reasonably priced - old-school Aussie in other words, which is how we like it. The reason we enjoyed our stay, though, was the way Fergus, the owner, runs the place. He's friendly, efficient, great company and a bit of a raconteur. The business is a credit to him: every employee we encountered seemed happy to be there and was as friendly and helpful as he is. As others have noted, the food is fantastic. We actually commented on the brilliant quality of the beef that accompanied our stir-fried Asian veggies, and learned that the meat is sourced from an excellent local butcher. Makes sense, it's beef country after all, but you can't take these things for granted.

Jerilderie is a pretty place, and the Colony Inn is located right in the middle, so everything's walkable. It's a 3-minute walk to Lake Jerilderie, which is great if you like photographing birdlife (I was up at first light and got some great shots). Object of our visit was the amazing Toganmain Woolshed. Hay is closer, but I'm glad we stayed in Jerilderie. Thanks again, Fergus - slàinte!

Popped into Jerilderie on way through last night in caravan and grabbed a meal at Colony Inn bar and RESTAURANT who happen to have an amazing Chef and bar staff (for any MP or immigrant official who doesn’t think this premises is a restaurant that needs to employ a Chef!!) Being interstate truckies we usually frequent the BP 🤮 but will be only attending Colony Inn from now on!! Premises were clean, atmosphere was very Aussie, owners were fabulous and the food was outstanding!! Locally sort meat and it tasted delicious!! Was advised by the owners they will pick us up when in town in the road trains and drop us back so it’s a double thumbs up from us!! Thanks to the Colony Inn team!! From the Fleminson’s!!

Had dinner here tonight and it was the best t-bone I've had, was cooked to perfection as were the fresh steamed vegetables and the beer was nice and cold, very friendly owner and staff.
Will definitely be calling in here on my trip back home.

This was my first visit to the Colony Inn. I was made to feel very welcome by Ferg, the moment I walked in the door. After a couple of chilled beers (beautiful, cold and clean tasting I hasten to add) I sat down in the bistro to enjoy my meal. Enjoy I did! The colony parmie was superb and didn't take long before it was presented to me by a very polite young staff member whose parting words were that she hoped I enjoyed my meal. What a varied menu too! Difficult to decide what to eat. So many different options and specials of the day! The serving portions were y-uge and the vegetables crisp and perfectly cooked. Can't wait to go again!
