Comet Industries is one of those meaty kind of man places that a single female tends to just wonder about, let alone venture into. But things change when it is Easter, nothing is open, and I need a small welding job done.
I must say, walking into the shop was like stepping back in time. Old world metal on metal banging and new world heavy equipment sounds surrounded me, to the left was an assortment of old equipment, including scales, metal joints and lots of strange metal items I could not identify.
Enter, Ivan, and I knew straight away that here was an engineer of long-standing and a gentleman.
He took pain to understand my problem as if it was a $40,000 fabricating job. In the end it was not possible to do what I asked, the parts too big, the space too small. I was sent off to two possible solutions with his introductions and felt empowered to have received his advice.
