We have had a possum mum and baby living in a possum box attached to a tree next to our carport after I had to evict them from my sea kayak 10 years ago. The old box fell apart and the lid blew off in a windstorm a couple of days ago. I had decided I would need to make my own box as most of the boxes I had seen in the past were lightweight and flimsy. I decided to check FB Marketplace one more time and that’s when I discovered Comfy Creatures. Finally, some has built a solid heavy duty box that is built to last.

Wes from CC has thought of everything. The kit even came with a small bottle of exterior paint and a paint brush which allowed me to get two full coats on it (I ended up adding a couple of coats of Dulux Weathergaurd on top as I had the time and leftover paint).

But the best part is the mounting system Wes has developed. It made mounting so much easier which is great when you are climbing ladders at night to switch out boxes. No more messing around with fencing wire while standing on top of a ladder. He even included the driver bit for the drill so there was nothing else I had to buy.

This product really is next level with how it’s been designed and built. Highly recommended. And I checked the box this morning and mum and baby moved in overnight which was well timed as we had heavy rain overnight. We have some very happy possums that stayed nice and dry overnight. Thanks Wes.

After we bought a Comfy Creatures possum box years ago (still being occupied by one of our resident brushies), we have now bought and installed two microbat roosting boxes. They are high quality, very sturdy and well built.

A single microbat can eat up to half its weight in insects in one night, which works out to more than 1,200 mosquitoes for the smallest of the microbats. So hopefully that’ll help reduce our nightly blood donations at home ?

Councils should invest in these boxes, and place in park trees. That way they'd encourage birds and wildlife and improve everyone's environment. The possum box we bought is well made and a great product. I would highly recommend it.

We searched for the best sized box to relocate some very naughty possums from our ceiling, and that is how we landed at the comfy creatures website. The box looked well designed and big enough to house a family of possums. We were delighted when it arrived and it was just perfect! The brackets attached made it so simple for my husband to climb a suitable tree and attach it to a sturdy branch! We popped some fruit on the handy box ledge and now await the new arrivals:)

A great addition to one's suburban yard to give a home to a possum/parrot/bat in these times where their native habitat is decreasing.
