It's true that the Beer is cold, Beds are comfortable, Food is delicious and place has a buzz, Hospitality great!! Typical pub rooms and toilets upstairs!!

The worst Asian food I've ever had, went there ordered the Asian banquet for 2 and the chicken was absolutely horrible, the spring rolls were still frozen inside, it was just very very bad completely uneatable

Well we were having a lovely day doing the sights and stopped at the commercial hotel in Casino. Got there at 1.52 and asked if we could order lunch. Well Marnie and Cassie said that the chef clocked off at 2 and if we put our order in they could do it. They recommended the steaks so we ordered a rump a porterhouse a burger and the duck spring rolls. Plus we ordered some beers and champagne. Marnie and Cassie were amazing and gave me a taste of the beers to see which one I liked. Needless to say that when the meals came out all I can say in one word YUM. Excellent food fantastic service with the biggest smiles I have ever seen. Great atmosphere and when we come back this will be our first stop. Well done chef and girls thanks for recommending the steaks. 10 stars to you all.

Unfriendly staff. No wifi. No entertainment. Drinks cheaper at other bars. Tbh don’t go here

We have had dinner out at several places in Casino, however none have reached the quality of the Commercial Hotel, we've had dinner there a few times and almost every time the food has been extremely good. We had dinner there on Friday and ordered the spare ribs, which thus far have been very tasty, and the Humpty Doo Barramundi, which to my suprise was extremely good and cooked to perfection.

The staff were friendly and approachable, however it appears that they're not allowed to talk to customers. Nonetheless, thanks for a great meal, we will be back because it appears that the other food establishments are very below standard.

This review refers to the cafe. This place used to be good with fast, efficient, friendly staff who made good coffee and great value food.
There seems to have been some changes lately with a lot of staff leaving, resulting in slow service from staff who are not friendly or efficient. The food is still ok but is very slow and not served hot. The staff don't seem to know how to multi-task and think ahead and seem disinterested.
The coffee quality has declined too. There's a difference between knowing how to use a coffee machine and knowing how to make a good coffee. They seem to barely know the first.
I think there is a lack of good leadership that brings a front of house team together.
Definitely have started to go elsewhere now, such a shame after enjoying this place for a few years now

Gave it a go for lunch. Had the chicken schnitzel. First one came out pretty burnt and after consultation with my dining partner we agreed that it was pretty unacceptable. I complained and they agreed to make another one. The second one came out a bit better so I ate it. It was tough and hard . I worked out that the schnitzel was being cooked from frozen at high temperature hence the dark brown exterior. It probably goes into the same high heat oil as the chips. I would like to recommend to the kitchen to defrost the schnitzel before cooking to allow the golden brown to signify that the schnitzel is indeed well done. Service was also slow and prices high compared to other pub meals in the region.
