Today I attended an art journaling workshop with Jade at Creative Abyss. Jade is an awesome teacher making you feel comfortable and see the positive in all "markings". She says "there is no such thing as mistakes, everything can be turned into something, often surprising." And that's the beauty of her work. Really enjoyed the day. It was a great reminder of the simplicity of creative play and its importance in life even as adults.

This was our second time doing this with my 8 year old girl. She enjoyed it the first time and kept asking for it again. My girl was pretty quiet but Jade was gentle and great with her. I'm glad we have done it again and I'm sure will be back šŸ™‚

My daughter loved her art classes with Jade in a lovely relaxed space. She particularly enjoyed her large Posca pen collection!

This was such a fun class ! And so much more flexible than a standard paint and sip. Ended up with an artwork Iā€™m actually proud of, that is uniquely my work that I will keep.

Jade gave my grandson and his friend a fun-packed, productive class. Both boys produced something special. Well done Jade. Highly recommend the Creative Abyss for classes, experiences and art.

My sister and I took my 2 children (son, 13 & daughter, 7) to an art class run by Jade from Creative Abyss in the school holidays. It was a combined adults/kids class, and we had so much fun! Not only is Jade a talented artist, she knows how to encourage and teach people of all ages how to appreciate, create and enjoy art. I don't consider myself very 'arty', but you don't have to be to do a class with Jade - she's so friendly, and gently brought out my 'inner artist'. I would certainly recommend her classes - whether for kids, adults or both. We will be booking in again.

Jade has been teaching my boys for years. They have loved her classes and how she often personalises them to their interests. I always felt very comfortable leaving my boys with Jade knowing they were well cared for and enjoying themselves. They have learnt so much and often use the skills they have been taught by Jade in their art at home.
