From start to finish, Custom Built Cabinets were an amazing company to deal with when redoing the ancient kitchen in our rental property. They advised and delivered on every aspect of the project and each and every one of the team that we dealt with exceeded every expectation. Though I’m sure there were others involved in delivering our new kitchen we’d like to give a special thank you to Simone, Bryce, Kai and Dan. We engaged Custom Built Cabinets for our new build recently. The service they provided was above and beyond. Both Mick and Simone spent many hours with me nutting out design and functionality. Nothing was overlooked. Their knowledge and range of product availability ensured our cabinetry has been a talking point for all who visit our new home. They are super flexible and efficient. I would like to write an honest review of this business and what you could expect.
When we first met Mick and Simone, one of the first things we asked was how long it would take to make and install our kitchen, Simone told us about 5 weeks.
It was August last year when we decided to go ahead, plenty of time before Christmas we thought! What we didn’t expect was it only to be installed a few days before Christmas, days turned into weeks, and weeks into months.
On the day of installation I was quite shocked when I caught one of the young installers sawing wood up without protection on my brand new patio tiled floor, and putting the kitchen cabinets on our brand new wood flooring without protecting it first.
During the installation our kitchen floor and butlers floor got quite badly scratched from the carelessness of these fitters. After installation we noticed that many of our walls had gotten really damaged throughout the installation again caused by carelessness. (see attached photos)
After a battle with Mick he agreed to pay for the floor to be replaced and the walls to be re plastered and painted.
On numerous occasions during the installation of our kitchen we asked for no photos be taken, with this even being discussed in writing with Simone. What I found out this week has alarmed us the most.
We were shocked to learn from a friend that there was a social media post by Custom Build Cabinets containing numerous images of our kitchen, butler’s pantry and laundry. These images were taken without our consent and were clearly taken when are backs were turned. We did not consent to any pictures of our private household being taken. When I commented on this post requesting these images to be deleted, I was immediately blocked without an explanation or an apology.
No respect, lack of care, a total breach of Invasion of privacy is what you can expect from Custom Built Cabinets.

Dear Simone
Your fitters were fully 100% aware that no photos be taken of inside our home as i personally told them on more than 1 occasion NOT TO DO SO, i also replied to your email dated 14/2 to decline your invitation. Your fitters took the photos even though we had asked not to, complete invasion of our privacy. You have left it 9 months before posting in hope that i wouldn't know you sneakily took the photos.
It took weeks/months for you to get the drawings back to us we sent various emails/phone calls begging you to hurry up. Do you not remember me in tears on the phone to you when you cancelled our Nov installation because you hadn't made our cabinets in time, the changes we made were minor and did not delay the installation.

Once you reimbursed us for the damage to our property i moved forward and didn't leave you any negative feedback, but what has shocked me is that you have no respect for our privacy and you posted pictures of inside our home without even asking our permission, i have a copy of the pictures you posted before you deleted them. If someone asks for privacy you need to respect that. I have not written anything misleading nor untrue nor will i be removing my honest review of your business. And if we find out you have been showing pictures of our home without our consent for your marketing purposes then we will be taking matters further so please delete any photos you took inside our home.
