We built our first home with Dale Alcock which was finished in October 2023.
When we first enquired about building with Dale Alcock around November 2021 after absolutely loving the house design of a display home we had an estimate build time of 18months, which around the covid time was the general time frame of builds.

Overall we are very pleased with our home and the workmanship that went into it, along with the team behind it who helped make it happen.

For our Pre-construction
we had Stuart as our developement consultant whom we met at the display home, he was profressional and very informative and helpful. When going through variations, he had very good suggestions for us and provided us with wonderful service. His friendly and knowledgeable customer service demeanour reassured us greatly with our choices and we were happy with all of them in the end.
Alongside Stuart we also had support from the lovely Chrissie, our pre-construction coordinator who got our job through to construction and kept us informed on application progress.

When it came to our selections, we went through various teams and had alot of fun picking our designs and selections. Our selections consultant was Chelsea and she walked us through and help with our choices.
We pretty much had an idea of what we wanted and her expert opinions really helped solidify our choices and helped envision what we wanted.
When it came to electrical selections, Aaron and his team at Stinson were lovely to work with, being our first home we there were things we didn't think of when it came to some switches and lighting, also with extra placements for future development which was brought up to let us know in case we wanted them.

When construction came about our Customer Service Liasons changed 3 times however every officer was absolutely lovely and kept us up to date with progress. Our final Liason Caitlin was more than helpful and friendly, she followed up our enquiries and got back to us as soon as she could which helped reassure us in the process that things were on track.

Our construction started around April/May 2022, We had our construction manger change after our bricks went up, this did not affect our build quality as both managers were very accurate and had attention to detail.
Our final manager Mark, once our home was handed over to him, continued to keep us informed of where our home was tracking and also answered our queries without issue.

The main delay we experienced in our build was with our roofing, due to the timber shortage at the time and back log of the roof carpenter, in saying that it was all added into our time estimate before we begun building so we were prepared for the wait.

Throughout each stage and inspections we were thoroughly impressed with the workmanship behind it, from the slab being very fine, to the bricks being put up and concreted neatly.
Even the way our roof frame was put together really stood out with design.
Our interior was well plastered and painted when we spoke with our tilier DJ he was very knowledgeable and knew what he was doing, He provided us with suggestions on how our tiles should go to be most pleasing with the eye which we went ahead with, as we had some places where they would abruptly cut off.
The final finish was absolutely lovely and we barely had any faults or fixes to report in the final inspections.

When moving in, in November 2023 within the first 3 months we did encounter 2 major issues for us. One our hot water didnt work the weekend we moved in due to the gas heater fan deciding to stop working ( it worked when inspected originally) while the second was a slightly cracked shower pipe in the ensuite which cause unplessant fumes(it was a hairline and was not noticable until a very long time without water down the pipe). The team at DAH were very quick to respond and have the issues inspected and fixed. We were kept up to date and had multiple check ins to ensure the issues were remedied and we were not experiencing anything further with them.

We were fortunate to experience her service both at the Leederville office and at the display home she was hosting ( the same home we decided to pick ). Moreover, Liv's responsiveness and follow-up were impeccable. She never made us feel like we were being pushed or hurried into any decision. Instead, she was always available to address any queries or concerns promptly, ensuring that we had all the information necessary to make informed choices.

Liv has exceeded all expectations and has truly made a lasting, positive impact on our lives. And even now that we are in the construction phase which she isn't directly responsible for she still checks in and consistently let's us know the door is open should we need her to help with anything that isn't going well.

As of this comment we have just had our slab laid, and are getting pipping laid with the bricks delivered in 2weeks. The whole project is 4weeks ahead of schedule and needless to say we are extremely happy.

We worked with Stephanie Rowley as our new homes consultant and her communication was clear and quick. She managed to create a floor plan for us which had everything we asked for! Stephanie went above and beyond to work out a way we could get everything we required into the new home.
She was so great to work with and we’d definitely recommend her!

Terrible builder. All too happy to take your money and then radio silence when it comes to build progress. They string you along with false hope and fake promises of progress and then tradies never show up.
Let alone thier non existent attention to detail.. They installed the completely wrong flooring, sprayed paint all over brickwork, installed lights in the wrong places, left drains uncovered and full of sand, damaged the exterior render, forgot to install agreed upon power points, forgot to seal tiles, destroyed the shower waterproofing and much much more.
Hire this company if you never want your house completed or finished to a liveable standard.

We have recently signed the PWC to build our new home with Dale Alcock. From our initial query on realestate.com.au we were responded to by Steve Quartermaine. Steve has been excellent to deal with through this process. He has been on time to all meetings, he responds to emails very quickly, he is always available to talk and has answered any questions we have had and has worked late into the evenings to get design changes we required costed into the PWC. He is knowledgeable and professional at his job and is very dedicated and understanding of his clients. So far our experience has been exceptional and we are looking forward to working with the rest of the team at Dale Alcock once our build commences.

Just built our first home with Dale Alcock Homes. Sharelle was our Home Sales Consultant. She is very knowledgeable, very honest, helpful and was there for us every step of the way. It just felt right with her. Being first home builders, she made sure she understood what we want and need.

A year later, (due to covid delays) we finally have our keys and are super happy with the quality and build.

You may think they are expensive but that is what premium means, you pay for something that is truly worth it. From building process and right to the end, we were kept informed.

I would highly recommend using them as you will have no problems building with this company.

As buyers from the UK waiting to emigrate, we were almost totally ignorant about the whole house building process in Australia. We were concerned to find a builder that we could feel confident about leaving to get on with the build whilst we were back in the UK. Thank goodness that we met Harry!

Harry has been of enormous help in buying our land and in choosing a house design that will be absolutely right for us. He has been so efficient-

UPDATE - July 2020

Well, we came back in March 2020 and picked up the keys to our new home on the exact date we were promised. Having not seen our home since it was just a piece of land, we were a little apprehensive. We need not have worried - Alan and the team had done the most fantastic job and the house is perfect. The build quality is superb and we could not have hoped for a better experience with a builder.

Our heartfelt thanks again to everyone involved and especially to Harry who has continued to be super efficient and helpful when we had a minor query regarding the NBN connection after moving in.
