$780 to run an 8 b&s cable from starter battery to Anderson in rear tub in a Hilux.

I was ripped off.

EDIT.

No, there wasn’t more to it, the job was to install a cable suitable to run a 40 amp DCDC charger. The cable was severely undersized and the voltage drop was too much to run the charger.

This debacle cost me $780 and it was unable to work as it was said.

Have used David's services for years. They have fixed air conditioning clutch issues as well as starter motor intermittent faults that Holden couldn't even find. Also supplied me with several battery that have lasted over 8 years. All done quickly and at reasonable prices.

We had an issue with the wiring on our 7 pin plugs between our motorhome and flat towed Suzuki. Dropped in without a booking and spoke to Mat who checked out the Suzuki and all was good. Brought the motor home in the next day where Mat and David investigated the wiring, found an issue with it rectified it on the spot, explaining things as they went and charge a very reasonable price. I highly recommend there services and will use them again in the future.

I called about a wiring issue with a car GPS tracker, and installing an updated replacement, as there was some confusion as to the type installed. They said to bring it up to have a look. Pulled out the wiring and installed the replacement - about 10 minutes work under the dash. Said not to worry about any charge. Fantastic service and greatly appreciated.

I rang David's shop to enquire about a re-gas for my AC, estimate $$ ets. David suggested coming into the shop for a no cost check up. I was at the shop 20 minutes later and had my AC fixed within 30 minutes at a very reasonable price. David is well established, knows his trade very well and gave some extremely honest and helpful advice. Highly recommended!
