Owners and trainers have a fantastic manner with kids. I took my daughter for a trial class. She had a terrific time with the other kids even though she’d never tried Jiu Jitsu before. Trent and Karina took the time to explain the moves and skills but never made her feel silly or self conscious. It’s all she’s talked about for the last 3 days. We will be signing up, she’s a Jiu Jitsu junkee now. Thanks for having such a welcoming space for all abilities and ages.

Our 9 year old daughter absolutely loves training with Trent and Karina; they are calm, patient and friendly - really lovely teachers. She has struggled finding her ‘sport’ but instantly fell in love with jiu jitsu - it’s been wonderful for building up her gross motor skills and confidence. They have a lovely class of kids who all have a wonderful time training together, learning lots of skills and fun games at the end.
Would definitely recommend for any kid - the classes are physical, fun, and involve a lot of skills from following instructions to learning how to be controlled and considerate with their training partners.

Awesome place to start (or continue) a jiu jitsu journey. Trent and the senior gym members are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and the environment is safe/welcoming wherein you can challenge yourself at your own pace. Great gym.

Terrific BJJ gym. Deeply knowledgeable and experienced instructor who knows how to adapt training to both beginners and experienced grapplers. Flexible timetable. Offers Gi and No Gi. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere with a some really skilled and respectful higher belts to train with too. I'm an older guy who values the balance between getting a really good and challenging roll in but still making it into work the next day and this place is perfect for that. I've had far fewer injuries here than at other gyms and learned more. Regardless of where you decide to train, my recommendation to those just starting out - don't do what I did and "try to get fit'' before committing to learn BJJ. Just get fit doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu; you can go at your own pace. it's great for building fitness and a fun thing to learn.

The combination of Trent’s vast grappling knowledge; contemporary training methods; his great new studio in Engadine and other long-term like-minded members, makes it the perfect place to train, learn, apply, and socialise.
