We went to the Grape to Glass event. A very informative and fun event. Beautiful platters of food made by Jane and lovely wines by John. Started off with the Pet Nat which was very refreshing and full of flavour. The 2022 Chardonnay was lovely and very smooth already. It paired very well with the platter. John is an awesome host and we have been to a few of his events. Recommend the barrel tasting in winter and the Muscat blending (get an Uber for this one). Food is always excellent and very well priced.

An extremely unpleasant experience, with the most unprofessional reception from whom I assume is the owner!

I assume this as if he was an employee he would have been fired a long time ago.

We arrived a party of 15 looking to sample wines whilst on holiday. Unfamiliar with the process we entered a busy open plan room with no reception from anybody that worked there or any signs/information at the entrance. After standing for a few minutes we decided to take a seat as we were with children.

The owner eventually appeared and immediately began to chastise us for taking a seat. Asking what we thought we were doing without a reservation, actually handling members of the group telling us to get up. His behaviour actually left the group in shock no doubt unsettling other guests.

We accept that we misunderstood the business model and perhaps should have booked or even waited longer in the entrance for someone to come.

It is not that we were not able to take advantage of what the Vineyard offered, we didn't have any real expectation! It was entirely the individuals way of dealing with the sutuation that lets the establishment down.

There are plenty of other reviews (since read) highlighting his behaviour!

He displayed all the mannerisms of a man out if his depth in a busy facility.

Perhaps some investment to take care of front of house might see their overall score increase.

I can not comment on the wine or the food. Only the exceptionally poor levels of customer service.

I look forward to your response as your previous attempts serve only to re affirm your manners.

I bought a groupon voucher to have a date with hubby and it was totally worth it!!
From the moment we stepped inside then outside onto the back decking, we felt relaxed.
The scenery was so beautiful and peaceful. Our host was friendly and welcoming. It felt like he was a long time friend whom we hadn't seen in a while.
The wines were lovely and the platter absolutely delicious!!
Thank you for a wonderful afternoon 🙂

RUDE OWNER STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
what a waste of time and money to be treated like dirt while we were grieving a loss of our family member.

Went there to get out of the house, our minds of things and try and get back to some kind of normality, only to walk into this place and be treated like trash while in such pain.

Not your standard over the counter cellardoor. You sit down and have the wine come to you. We only visited a couple of wineries that day, so I really had no idea why we picked this one. But my goodness, my palates were having a party and everyone was invited.

Liam was our sommelier and he did an outstanding job in explaining the wines. Even though we were looking for more sweet wines, I ended up snagging a bottle of Shiraz that was literally one of the best I've had in years. Mind you, I don't drink much. BUT STILL.

There is just something that hits different with Swan Valley wines, which I prefer than Margaret River's. Faber is a good representation of that.

The Raygun of wineries. Over confident and not interested in feedback. The wines were all quite acidic except for the Donnybrook Durif. There are a lot of excellent wineries in the region I would recommend going to another instead.

Barrel tasting, hot soup for lunch, Faber goes from strength to strength. John's wines are awesome and tasting the next vintages in their infancy, priceless!
And then there's spring wines. The list goes on. Gold medals on some this year 2022.
2024 And just going out for a Ploughman's Lunch? The best! Jane's selection of nibbles and other yummy things with wine, great!
