Wanted to do photo shoot with my newborn and my partner so I gave this fampix a go. Honestly the worst experience ever! AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND! PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!!!!! Was told through messages by David (the photographer) that the session goes on for 1hour and 30mins, we barely got 20mins in if that as David was rushing us and wouldnā€™t even let us change outfits for our newborn. Then when he told us the prices of the photos I just couldnā€™t believe it, donā€™t get me wrong the photos were good but they werenā€™t great or worth $99 each just for a basic print. Anyways, me, my partner and my mother-in-law looked at each other and said thereā€™s no way we were paying for the photos at that much. But good olā€™ David strucked us a convincing deal, it was like he was so desperate to sell his product he had to throw in free stuff. He said that heā€™d throw in a usb for digital copies free of charge with all 37 photos and with the 6 edited photos in a seperate folder, so me and my partner said yeah we can do that cause we get the 6 photos plus all the digital copies from our 20min session in a usb.
All up we paid for the 6 photos and usb which was free of charge nearly $545 plus their little booking fee $50. So nearly $600 on the whole lot. Now this is the messed up part, we received our package a few weeks later. And what do you know thereā€™s no usb just the 6 photos and Iā€™m very disappointed with the way he edited me and my son as we look yellow and you see where heā€™s airbrushed to get rid of the glare, so much for 40 years experience. Been trying to call and message David about this problem but there hasnā€™t been anything returned. So itā€™s good to see that thereā€™s no professionalism whatsoever and that me, my partner and my newborn have been scammed. And if David doesnā€™t want to respond to our messages cause I know that itā€™s not just us that would like a refund after his terrible photo shoot then further action will be taken.

My mother in law was sold a package in a shopping centre, when she called my partner and I she said that it was only $50 for a family photoshoot. We were immediately suspicious. On the day of the photoshoot we were reviewing the photos, David began to zoom in on all of my mother in laws imperfections and told her what needing photoshopping. We were appalled and disgusted that he would do that to a woman in front of her children in order to convince her that she needed to purchase the photoshopped packages. When he started to explain the packages, the inclusions were detailed in a very unclear and unstructured manner. It seemed as though he was about to charge her up to $400-$500..my partner and I stepped in and ended up paying for $300 which equated to 2 printed edited photos and a usb of all unedited photos. That did not seem unreasonable however the slimy nature of the initial negotiations was disgusting.

If I could give zero I would..
run away very fast from Fampix photography.. The make up package is awful and not done by a professional make up artist as promised, David is pushy, rude, my 3yr old takes better pictures and he doesnā€™t honour the sale even though youā€™re required to pay in advance.
If youā€™ve been conned, pressured into buying pics from David or his family please report it to ACCC and seek legal aid to get your money back

A 0 actually.

Well I have to agree with the earlier reviews. After trying multiple times to say no to their salesman (who I'm assuming to be their son), who used emotional manipulation tactics and pulling heart strings after stupidly divulging minor person information to him (like having a family), he wouldn't take no for an answer. I should have just stood my ground considering my personal financial situation of trying to survive fortnight to fortnight (which was another personal aspect I was honest about). Not being able to afford the booking fee, let alone not wanting to have photos done after having various skin cancers removed, including melanoma, and multiple scars on my face. Which again, personal information I included for reasoning as to why I didn't want the photos done. So taking my financial, personal and emotional circumstances into account, he still manipulated and basically forced me into booking.
Then I was harassed in the days leading up to, and the day of having the photo's done, making sure we were coming.
We then get to aspley bowls club and it was not at all what it was sold to be. It was a dingy room built in the 50/60's, with a makeshift studio at the door. An older couple, maybe in their 60's, the photographer calling himself David. I immediately felt uncomfortable, which they sensed, and proceeded to distract my partner and I separately (which isn't difficult seeing as our 3yo is autistic so keeps us busy). After a dodgy photo shoot, we hurriedly rushed through the pics and my partner was guilted into getting almost $800 worth of pics on their payment plan.
So after waiting since August 2022 to have some sort of correspondence (other than takin my money), we've started legal proceedings that I financially can't afford, but the moral karma about the be dished out is all worthwhile.
Your move, David.

I advise stay well away from this company. They're nothing but scam artists feeding off vulnerable families.

I would not recommend Fampix to anyone.

We purchased a photo package February 2022, which took place at Aspley Memorial bowls club 5th February 2022, on the day everything seemed to go smoothly which we were happy with. I was happy to pay for the complete package on the day however we decided that we would pay an amount on eftpos and the balance on PAYSMART, which was recommended by David. This was paid and completed in full by June 2022. We did try to connect a few times with FAMPIX via TEXT message with no success.

September 2022 I utilized a legal team to follow this up, as in my personal opinion this has taken an incredible amount of time to receive the photo package. Firstly we sent a letter of demand to the PO BOX that was stated on the handwritten invoice, which was quickly returned to us as undelivered. We then sent the demand letter via Email. A short time after I received a call from David who stated he had just sent the photos to our house address, which was then received a few days after. When questioned about the time taken to deliver, blame was tried to be placed onto us, however once I pointed out a few truths about his business practiceā€™s he finally took some kind of responsibility with a few excuses with personal affairs etc.

The photo quality is of a good standard and we are happy with the final result, however I feel that I hadnā€™t threatened legal action we would still be awaiting for a result. Stay Clear.

I agree with all the one star ratings. He rushed our photoshoot, no direction when taking the pics. Was more like stand here you stand here and then he took pics. Two weeks later Iā€™m still waiting on pics to be delivered. DO NOT USE THIS MAN, quality of service absolutely sucks. Even my kids commented about how aggressive he was (they are all under 10)
