I recently had a 3 day stay at fiona Stanley and can't praise the staff
highly enough.They were incredibly professional and nothing was to much trouble. from the surgeon's to the people who brought you your meals. They were all very friendly and made you feel like you were in good hands. And for the nurses who are undoubtedly the stars of the show you made my stay very pleasant and left me feeling like I was in very capable hands. Over all very good experience 5 stars.

If I could leave no stars I would! My partner has double pneumonia and was told by his gp that it’s quite serious, the triage have acted like nothing is wrong. We’ve been waiting for an hour and a half already, he has chest pain and shortness of breath. It’s bad enough that we were here a few days ago and they didn’t pick up on it but the doctor said he’s struggling to get his breath properly “because of the fluid in his lungs” are you kidding! This hospital is honestly a joke

I would like to express my sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the team at Fiona Stanley Hospital. The triage nurses, nurses in the emergency department and specialist doctors for the kindness shown to my dad on the 7/1/25. Nothing was too difficult to do. The team worked on him meticulously and speedily, they have a deep understanding of a 95 year old having a diagnosis of pneumonia. Many, many thanks to such an amazing team of people🙏🏽😊

Had such a pleasant experience as I have been admitted to the hospital for 4 days due to an emergency. My baby and I have been very looked after from everyone honestly! Some of the team I’ve forgot their names but I have come across many midwives, nurses and drs in the 4 days and each one has been so caring!

I have just completed 20 sessions of Radiation therapy January 22nd to February 19th at Genisis Care Cancer Centre, Fiona Stanley Hospital for Prostate Cancer. The professionalism & caring of all the staff involved has been first class. Every step during the treatment process, they
kept me informed with what was transpiring and had my interests at heart. I go back on 14th of May for a review and final analysis,

Thank you to all the staff at Fiona Stanley ❤️ I went into emergency and then booked in for day surgery the following day. Everyone was so attentive and caring and in such great spirits. I even received a call today checking how I’m getting on post surgery. Special thanks to Emma from emergency and the lovely nurse who took care of me, and from day surgery Micaela and my nurse and doctor from Unit 1 🙂 my most heart felt gratitude, all of you deserve lots of credit and praise 💕

I want to share my huge thanks and gratitude to the staff at Fiona Stanley ED and in ward 7 on the 7th floor. I got taken to ED by ambulance (the paramedics were absolutely incredible and made sure I was comfortable while I was waiting) on Friday 7th of February after suffering a complication from a surgery I had 2 days prior. From the moment I arrived in ED, to the time I got sent up to a ward, I was treated with kindness, compassion and received the best care. Although the staff were under the pump, the care didn’t change and still made sure I had everything I needed, from scans, blood tests and constant updates. A huge thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff that made a horrific experience much more easier to manage. Even the aftercare on discharge has been great.

A special thank you to the nurses in Ward 7 (especially the night shift nurses) Nothing was too much for them and did whatever I needed to make sure I was comfortable.

From the beginning of my mother’s diagnosis, it felt like one challenge after another. She was initially diagnosed with pancreatic and liver cancer following a scan, but treatment couldn’t begin until a biopsy was performed. After the biopsy, she developed a blood clot in her arm within three days, and aspirin was prescribed to manage it.

Shortly after, the aspirin was stopped so that a cancer port line could be inserted, and her first round of chemotherapy was administered the very next day—without allowing time for the port to heal and function properly. Just two days later, she was diagnosed with a mild stroke. While she could still walk, talk, and function, she was admitted to FSH (Fiona Stanley Hospital) and placed in the cancer ward.

Despite repeatedly requesting that she be moved to the stroke ward to receive the specialized care she needed, these requests were denied. It was incredibly distressing to see her placed in a setting that didn’t seem equipped for her condition.

After a week, she was ready to be transferred to a rehabilitation center. Tragically, she suffered a major stroke before the transfer, which led to her passing three days later.

The level of care my mother received during this time was deeply concerning, and the experience has left me profoundly anxious about ever needing hospital care myself.

I wish good luck to the doctors that ever fall ill in their coworkers care because they are most likely going to suffer high consequences.
