Bought kinetic 10Ton splitter a few years ago. Despite numerous pictures and emails between myself and support for a faulty wheel bearing they never sent me the part. Defect at buying. Am reminded of this every winter I need to move it and the wheel is unhinged and not secure. The splitter also made a large clatter at first use, support did not assist much and I had to work out and fix myself. Since then splitter is ok, just very hard to move given one of the wheels has never been secured properly. Also, some nut threads appear to be poorly manufactured, and don’t lineup with the supplied nuts, and hence don’t screw on properly, not built very well. Also, the wrong nuts supplied in some cases and I needed to find and use my own. Very poor support, and construction is very average for the price - I will not buy this brand again. Have recently found out this is all made in China, don’t let the name fool you

Buyer beware! Very poor product and customer service. Would never purchase from ForestWest again. I wish I read the reviews beforehand.

I recently purchased a 15HP 600mm Petrol Chain Mini Trencher from Forestwest for a trenching project. After assembling the machine, it wouldn’t start. Despite following the manual and troubleshooting guide, I couldn't resolve the issue. Upon contacting Forestwest, I was told to bring the machine in for inspection. The fault was found in the Dead Man’s switch wiring, which prevented the machine from starting. They also identified a malfunctioning clutch and suggested a manual workaround.

After resuming trenching, the chain dislodged and got jammed, causing jolting and smoke from the engine. Forestwest inspected the machine, adjusted the chain via the axel. They then did a test with the engine on and the chain loosened suddenly again for no reason. They once again adjusted the chain and it appeared to be working fine. I took the machine home and commenced trenching again, but problems persisted. Now, pre-assembled nuts and bolts were dislodging and flying in the air while the chain was in operation. I tightened these back up, but once again the chain dislodged and other bolts were once again loosened.

I requested a refund given the now three seperate occasions I had to bring the machine back due to defects and safety issues, after only operating the machine for a combined 30 minutes. When I requested a refund, Forestwest denied it and blamed user error for all issues without evidence. I was told it's my job to maintain the machine (even though the machine was brand new and has only been used for 30 minutes in total). They also accused me of completing the trenching I needed to do and then seeking a refund for the machine as a way to get my money back dishonestly. This is despite that I still have 200m+ of trenching to do and now need to hire other equipment.

After I left, the store manager called me one hour later to offer me a 10% refund on the purchase price, which I declined, given the severity of the defects.

The machine posed major safety risks, including faulty wiring, a malfunctioning clutch, chain dislodgement, and bolts that become loose with minimal operation. These defects are clear violations of Australian Consumer Law, and I am seeking a full refund for a product that is unsafe, unfit for purpose and just doesn't work. I strongly advise against purchasing from Forestwest due to the poor quality of their product and lack of proper customer service.

We have bought many specialised tools from Willy at Forest West over the past 6 years. They have always been at a good price and are all still working well. Just ordered a replacement band saw blade today.

I purchased a 18 tone petrol log splitter a few yours ago, its been a awesome machine smashing any jarrah I throw at it. These splitters are so easy to move around even through the bush. The support I have received has been so good and they will do anything to help you if needing parts and support. Highly recommend forestry west in Canning Vale for product and service.

Bought a shed from forestwest.
Good service at the shop.
Very helpful.
But the product is absolute rubbish.
A nightmare to build as the parts are numbered incorrectly.
The instructions had 2 builders scratching their heads.
At least 50% of the holes don’t line up.
The nuts n bolts are rubbish.
Definitely not a 3 hour job.
This is without a doubt the worst product I have bought or assembled.
If you want to stay married or have friends don’t buy this rubbish of a garden shed.

Delivery of the 1500W wet saw was very quick by courier and set up was easy. I replaced the wet saw blade without trying it but with a new $100 diamond blade it cut through 45cm quartzite like butter. I love the wet saw. I’ve hired them through Bunnings in the past and this one is far superior in set up... big deep table with built in accurate tape measure, good spray control and water reservoir. Clean cut, powerful machine. Easy to use.

Received delivery within 3 working days from Melbourne to Sydney - amazing given the current Covid restrictions

Very well packed, but a bit tricky to assemble, needs 2 people and probably clearer instructions.

Was a bit worried I had bought something a little under-powered for my needs but I was very pleasantly surprised.

Chopped through green hard gum logs 400 mm diameter, with no problem, occasionally had to have 2 goes at the most gnarly ones but on the whole went through like a knife through butter.

So far I have not found anything it cannot get through.

First impressions - highly recommended
