There’s a wonderful smoky smell when walking in and everything on the mixed platter was so delicious! I especially liked the chicken wings which were so plump and flavourful. There’s a variety of beer and other drinks available and the guy at the bar was so helpful to provide recommendations on what to get. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Went there for lunch on a weekdays so the full menu wasn’t available, but I’ll definitely be back!

The scent of smoky meat greets you before you even step inside. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the ordering process is straightforward. We appreciated the nice complimentary drinks menu with tap beers. The food is generously sized and very tasty. We tried a range of products and enjoyed everything from the brisket to ribs and wings. I loved the pit beans also. Highly recommended!

I've seen Frankie's from the M3 onramp many different times and finally had a chance to visit for dinner. The restaurant decor is very modern and bright. The air is light with exuberance and conversation. The staff are neatly dressed and friendly. My order was quickly prepared with a nice presentation. If you've ever had American barbecue, you might have certain expectations regarding what is or isn't satisfactory bbq. The elements that are usually important include: the rub, the quality of the meat, the smoke ring, and the bite of the meat. Judged by these facets, the ribs I ordered were average. On an Aussie scale, they would probably rank higher due to the lack of a great offering from another restaurant. The meal felt expensive for what it was, but meat prices are sky-high everywhere. The outdoors seating is very cozy and comfy as well. For a nice BBQ experience with your family and friends, Frankie's should be on your To Do List.

Absolutely amazing!! The beef rib was absolutely delicious, loved the brisket and pulled pork on the loaded fries and the BBQ chicken wings were also perfect. Staffs were friendly and helpful, all of our orders came so fast we were in and out in less than an hour. Cravings satisfied for now but will definitely visit again!

Loved our dinner at Frankie's Smokehouse Woolloongabba tonight. This is the best BBQ I've had. We shared between two of us the Platter for One, 6 wings (white alabama and golden Carolina), brisket pit beans, zesty corn and onion rings. Definitely more than enough for two people. They offer take home boxes for leftovers. The drinks are really reasonably priced and you get a 5% discount on drinks when you sign up for the app via a QR code at the table.
The hotlink was bursting with flavour with a little cheese and a little spice and was really well cooked. The brisket was melt in your mouth and had a great flavour and the pulled pork was really what made this the best BBQ I've had. I find pulled pork normally lacks pork flavour and this one doesn't. My husband found it a little salty but I like my food well seasoned so I was happy. The coleslaw was nice and creamy and fresh. I loved the bread roll. It was soft, airy and pillowy inside with a great crunchy crust. The seasoning on the chips has a great unique flavour and pickle had a great touch a sweetness. The bbq sauce that is served on the side was super tasty too.
The onion rings were beyond good. So crunchy and the onion inside is caramelized and it's served with a delicious ranch. I'm not a beans fan but these were great. It's a combo of bean types and has a little kick at the back of your palate with a nice smokey flavour and you can see little bits of brisket mixed in. The corn was nice and sweet with a little bbq char on the edges.
The wings were perfectly cooked, nice and juicy but crispy skinned. The sauces we had with the wings were both so good.
I loved the look of the restaurant. It has a great fresh relaxed feel with some unique lighting and great wall graphics. It's a great mix of brightness mixed in with brick and a slight industrial look. We sat inside which was a nice temperature. They also have a couple of outdoor eating areas including an area next to their massive smoker. It really is impressive. We were there during daylight but it looks like it would be beautiful lit up at night.
The playlist in the restaurant was awesome!
The staff were amazing. The waitress we had was very explanatory and friendly but the guys at the register were obvious BBQ/food enthusiasts and had some awesome recommendations.
Definitely a must visit if you're in Brisbane. Thanks for a great feed!!

Arrived a little later than we would have liked and asked if they were still serving.
Response was a little short and that seemed miffed we arrived so close to closing.
“ You will have to order straight away “
So we did - and the food came out a relatively quick. Maybe a little too quick !
Service in general was a little lacking ( was the end of the day )
Nice restaurant decor etc though bit sparse though
Food came out fairly cold. And the brisket was fatty down the bottom and very dry up the top.
The ribs were a little dry too , neither me nor my friend were the biggest fans of the sauce that comes with. Heavy on the chicory / aniseed flavour.
The house made cola was really nice. Think it came to about 130 ish and for that money I was disappointed I gotta say.
I also believe for that price to give someone a buzzer and they collect the food is a little off.
Should be full table service
I’ve had bbq from a food truck and I think it was better and far cheaper.
All in all I wouldn’t return in a big hurry - from the reviews I was hoping to love it.
Didn’t bring it up any issue with the staff , as even the person at the bar was short with me - so didn’t feel entirely welcome to discuss issues.
Had been meaning to do a review for a while but kept forgetting. Visited 08/10/23

Came here tonight for our anniversary and omg. Definitely made the right choice. The smell as you walk in was beautiful, smoky meats delicious. Staff were very friendly. Menu is not huge and overwhelming and has all the options you could want. The food was delicious. Cooked to perfection, I cannot complain about a thing. Serving sizes were very generous, we couldn't quite finish though we tried! For what you get the price is fairly cheap. Nice to eat somewhere as a celiac safely! Menu is all gluten free except for the rolls. We will be back!
