I would not recommend this team to build your house if you want a nice experience. Very unprofessional and will not communicate with you about your home. During my build I have received no communication from them about my home and when communicating to them they do not respond or have lied about progress. My build was extended for two months, two weeks out from the due date with reasoning being ‘rain’, yet it had not rained in Townsville for 4 months prior to this. A week before this I had called to ask if the build was on track and they had told me it was. This extension was granted on my behalf, as I was told everything was booked to be done in around 3 weeks and that the two months was just due to how many rain days there were in January and February. They ended up taking their time and doing one small thing each week to extend out the build when things could have been done in that couple of weeks. When called again one month into the extension, they stated everything was booked for last week of June to be done, yet they still held onto the house and ended up pushing out the jobs further and no further communication from them. I called again to sort my internet out at the start of June and was told I would have a call by the end of the week to inspect the house as the build was done, and again I received no call and they continued to do nothing on the house, just letting it sit. I called them and at the end of that week and asked to do an inspection which was then booked for the week after which took use to the end of July. Upon putting in my final payment claim, I got rejected for final payment due to the landscaping not being completed as the company told me they can do it once I move in to look after the grass. I explained that to my broker and they stated because it is in my contract for the landscaping to be done, it needs to be done before you move in and that builders are aware of this and still continue to do this to get more time. When asking them if they can pay compensation for the time this delay has now caused they tried to blame myself and threatened to extend another 60 days.
The build is fairly poor, with new discoveries of wall holes patched up with tape, shotty painting and marks and dents throughout. The landscaping was completed 3 days before moving in to which the grass was dead when placed down. I had brought this to the attention of the team and they assured me it would grow back with heavy watering. I attended to this and the grass remained lifeless. I again mentioned this to them on move in day and also brought to their attention some pooling towards the house out the back. They assured me again that this would fix itself and that the pooling would level out. I emailed them a week later as the grass was still dead and got a response of blame aimed at myself for not looking after the grass. It was disgusting and unprofessional behaviour. I now have a dead lawn and am discovering more issues with the house itself. I have been assured multiple times the pooling would be fixed but it has been 6 weeks now with no resolution. I would stay clear from them if you are looking for a great build and good experience.

Building our first home was supposed to be exciting and special. Instead it was an extremely stressful, never ending process. It still blows my mind how we were treated and spoken to. And now a long list of issues with our home that no one seems interested in giving any priority to. Would not recommend x 100.

I know family’s that have built with fresh homes and would highly recommend. Their team are amazing and are doing nothing but their best especially during COVID, bushfires, floods, supply shortages and more. It’s been a tough couple of years for everyone and it’s a shame people are leaving such horrible reviews about a great company without hearing the full story.

The professionalism from this company is disgusting. The contact with the owners is disgusting. The delays are outrageous and the excuses are unacceptable. If you want better reviews, I suggest you stop taking on so many houses at once and complete the one’s you are currently working on. I will not be recommending fresh homes to anyone that asks me.
