Enjoyed a family birthday lunch at Gage Roads. It's a great location right on Victoria Quay with parking (paid) available. There are no bookings but the place is quite vast so there's plenty of space for large groups. There is a small kids play area for the young ones. The menu is a little limited but there's enough choice to please most people. Wood fired pizza are well made but again a bit limited on choice for toppings. The fish and chips was very nice with two good size pieces of fish, great chips and salad. There was a good range of beers and other drinks available and pricing was reasonable for food and drinks. A stage was being setup for live music later that evening (Friday) which would have been good. One point of annoyance was the prevalence of predatory seagulls that was made worse by people who insist on feeding them. Overall a good place to go with a group of friends.

We had lunch at this Freo Brewery. Good food, not a massive lunch menu but nevertheless still difficult to choose because it all looked yummy. We opted for a spicy chicken taco with chips from the share menu. Friendly and efficient staff. We will come back to try the pizza because the massive pizza oven made my mouth water.🙂

What a beautiful place to enjoy the Fremantle Warf. Especially, a balmy summer day. The food was excellent and the service quick. The wait staff are polite and attend to you quickly. Gets very busy, so might have to wait. Parking however is not the best and you may have to park a distance away. Overall 4.5/5. Yes, would visit again.

Great vibe and setting. We went as a largish group and ordered using the QR code. Note that alcohol and drinks (other than coffees) have to be ordered in person at the bar.
Food was great, pizza a bit over done and burnt. But the octopus with honeydew melon was divine. We went on a Friday (27/Dec 2024) and it was absolutely packed out. Our coffee didn’t come for over an hour and half although the staff were lovely about chasing it up. Unfortunately we paid extra for a different type of milk (plus credit card surcharge) and ended up with normal milk. Decided to just take it because we didn’t want to wait another hour and half. Otherwise the place would have gotten 5 stars. It’s just unfortunate that you can’t book a table in advance.

By way of update. I contacted Gage Roads as per the reply to my initial review a few days after. I have not had any reply to my email. I think the reply was just to show people who read the reviews that there is some response when there is not. Happy to forward my email to anyone interested.

3rd December 2024 - After returning from Rottnest Island we walked along the Victoria Quay and come across this local brewery and decided to try a paddle of their beautifully crafted beers. This brewery is very reminiscent of Hemingway's Brewery in Cairns. The industrial chic design is very similar, yet there is no affiliation. Despite this similarity, the beers were unique in taste. Being able sit at a bench positioned looking out at the Fremantle Inner Harbour with the cool breeze on a warm day - PERFECT. We only had a few beverages here, therefore cannot comment on the food. Although, from what we could see around us - that looked pretty good as well.

Always a great time here at Gage Roads Brewery! The food is phenomenal, and the beers are top notch. 100% recommend stopping in for a brew (they do coffee too), and some chicken tacos, a pizza, or some cauliflower. Everything tastes amazing.

First time here. It was our destination for our trip to Freo. We arrived just about midday. We had a choice of tables and then by the time we had ordered, the other tables were filling up. Our food may have taken 15 minutes to arrive, and it was hot. We both had - I just want the fish and chips - which we both enjoyed. 2 big pieces of fish each. A good sized meal. Many staff were on and tables were also cleared quickly. It was a buzzy atmoshere with many couples and families. The shed is huge. There is a childrens play area, and inside and outside sitting options. They have Merch to buy. I was a little disappointed as there was no dark beers but I think because they are not as popular. We were very impressed and will definitely be going again.
