I have been a customer for years. The guys that work there are great, friendly and helpful. The store was great before... but now is even bigger and better with well displayed stock. In my long experience their prices are always extremely competitive... Do not believe the grumpy never happy complainers...

Very Poor Customer Service- Be aware there is a 20% handling fee for returned items!
My family go out of our way to support small local businesses and I have never written a negative review before so I am very disappointed to write a negative review about this one. When I purchased an item from the Gainfort Hornsby shop, I wasn't sure if it would work for what I needed and I was assured I could return it for a refund minus a 10% "shelving fee" as long as I kept my receipt. When I returned it, I was told that although I purchased it at the end of the previous month (it had only been about 2 and a half weeks) and it was now a new month they would not return it but would give me a store credit (which I didn't want). We spoke with the manager who said it was the rules. Then I spoke to the owner who was extremely rude, sarcastic and demeaning. He also confirmed that once they do their bookkeeping for a month, they will not return an item even if it was purchased days prior to the end of the month. When I spoke to him the next day he agreed to give me a refund minus a 20% handling fee which he said was their standard policy! If you want friendly service, reliable advice and fair treatment, do not go to Gainfort's Plumbing and Electrical Wholesaler. There are plenty of other plumbing and electrical places that will provide great service.

BIG CHEER OUT to the Hornsby store for helping out with our WIRES PROJECT. The store was very helpful and generous with discounts on all the items to produce our wildlife water fountains x 25. These were assembled by Technographics p/l and will be used on the south + north coast regions which were more devastated by the inferno. Many items have been donated and supported by local Facebook community pages. I would like too say a Big thank you to the Gainfort company for their consideration and help. A message of there support will be labelled on each unit supplied as a return thank you from us and doing future business with this store if you are in the Hornsby or Mona Vale area.
