We went here because we thought there was a cheese factory there. Glad we found this peaceful and beautiful place! Rosie and Harry were very friendly and helpful to introduce us some good cheese platter to pair with the wine! They’re super friendly to introduce us a spot that lives dozens of kangaroos! Only locals would know it. So do check with them if you want to see wild kangaroos!

the highlight of my Margaret river trip! We wound up being the only people in on a lovely sunny Monday afternoon, the views from the deck over the dam are just stunning. The gentleman who helped us (I believe his name was Harry?) was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a really thorough tasting of both wines and a few cheeses, alongside a gorgeous hummus.
The wines themselves were absolutely gorgeous. It’s plain to see that these guys value quality over quantity, and it was lovely to chat about various yields over the years and how the changes in weather have impacted winemaking here.
I cannot recommend this spot more - incredible wine, incredible service, beautiful views. an impeccable experience!

Amazing winery worth the visit not just for the name!
We had the place to ourselves and the host behind the bar with the two kids is a gentleman and top bloke! Good banter and tolerance for our rat pack!
Quite nice wines for the region!

Average wine. Tasting fee $5 but will return if buying. Cheese tasting inside as well. Beautiful lake view. Not a big winery. Service average. Bought a honey but was overcharged. Other shop selling same honey bigger and cheaper. 😑

Sort of 4 places in one: 2 wine labels, olive oil sales and cheese shop. The vineyard itself is Abbey Vale, and they have 3-4 wines. Goon Tycoon is Abbey Vale's smaller, more experimental label. (They're also related to Deep Woods and Evans & Tate.) Tastings are $5, refunded with a bottle purchase. Super nice cellar door, good wines, very reasonable prices. Especially enjoyed Goon Tycoon's Teroldego, an Italian grape varietal. Definitely recommend visiting if you want a more boutique experience.

Average, somewhat disinterested service, very average wines that cost to taste (beware: even if you are sipping from someone elses tasting, you will be charged for 2 tastings for some odd reason). The spectacular location was its saving grace.

Overall had a great experience here and all the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable 😀 What an amazing setting, great wine and delicious cheese.

Only thing that was off putting was the $5 tasting fee, despite not having to pay it as we made several purchases. For me nothing worse than walking in and seeing a tasting fee sign and is not the best first impression. Luckily your staff made up for this
