Michal Beroun of Grail Films is a highly skilled, experienced videographer. He films in remote areas, inside heavy industry and locally in the Townsville community for all sorts of clients. He is equally happy traipsing through lagoons in regional Queensland to catch the best footage OR filming young people doing acting auditions for Stan and Netflix. He worked for me on editing their auditions all night to meet a tight, lunchtime deadline! I was so grateful! Michal is a proper professional.
He wants to understand the background and the purpose to every story being told to ensure he collects all the footage needed in the field.
He can "read" people in front of his lens very well, moving in very close only when they're comfortable (or focused on their activity) to get really good detailed imagery to illustrate the story.
He is one of those rare creatives who can take the lead in production, but also accept and accurately interpret feedback and direction.
And he's a hard worker. It doesn't matter how for how many kilometres he has traipsed through the bush in the middle of summer, he's always ready to stay a bit longer, shoot a it more, go a bit further.
