We began our meal with a basket of Papadoms, served with 5pcs. The papadoms were crispy and light, serving as a perfect start to our meal. Next, we had the Samosas, which were generously stuffed with spiced potatoes and peas. The outer crust was golden and flaky, while the filling was flavorful, with a nice hint of heat.For the main course, we indulged in a classic Indian curries—Butter Chicken. The Butter Chicken was rich and velvety, with tender chicken pieces swimming in a creamy, tomato-based sauce that had just the right hint of sweetness. To complement the curries, we ordered both Garlic Naan and Cheese Naan. The Garlic Naan was soft and fluffy, with a delightful garlic aroma that paired beautifully with the curries. The Cheese Naan was indulgent and gooey, adding a comforting touch to the meal. We also tried the Beef Biryani, a standout dish that came loaded with tender pieces of beef, fragrant basmati rice, and a blend of whole spices that infused every bite with flavor. Had the best experience at GurTaj! Firstly, the service, amazing! Everyone’s so nice and welcoming and help you order the best as per your needs and taste. The food was delicious especially Saag Cottage Cheese! ❤️ Definitely going back any time I’m around the northern beaches.

This is a great Indian restaurant with delicious food and fantastic service by the attentive staff. Summit is a very humble person.
On both occasions here I've had the butter chicken with rice and roti and Tandoori Chicken (Chicken Tikka) and I've not been disappointed. Might try something different on my next visit here.

Authentic and delicious home made style food. We tried vegetarian chana dal and paneer tikka masala. Both were very tasty. Although paneer wasn’t fried but it was still very tasty. Cucumber raita was lovely, without too much spices. Naan was a bit crunchy and not soft but all good with us as we prefer crunchy rotis and naans. Extra star for the kind and courteous service by staff.

Authentic Indian food. After staying in Aus for some time and really craving for some hot food. This is the place you are looking for.

The service is good. The waiter is friendly and always checks on you.

The food is great. Can't tell which is better because most of it is great.

We went around 6pm and it was still empty, but after half an hour people kept coming in until it was full. Guess it is quite a popular restaurant.

Overall it is a good place if you are looking for Indian or some hot food.

1000000% the most delicious butter chicken on the Northern Beaches (and likely anywhere in Australia).
You should definitely order the mixed entree selection of dips - the staff will help guide you to help choose the most perfect selection!
Everything is ALWAYS fresh and honestly SO DELICIOUS, but not only that, you feel like family walking in here. It doesn’t matter how long between visits, the staff remember you, remember your order and genuinely care to make your visit here a comfortable and delicious one.
