I bought 3 machines from Jason in December and cannot have expected better service. His product knowledge and patience made him a pleasure to deal with. One machine was on back order and he promised me a call on when it arrived on a certain date. The call was prompt and goods were waiting for pickup. I will certainly be looking and using H & F again.

Good place for all your tooling needs. Prices are reasonable, plenty of parking. The item I purchase was exactly what I wanted and what I thought it was however the description on the website was a little off. A manufacturers part number would have been handy to confirm it was what I thought it was. I did find the gent who served me a little bit sour, almost had the attitude of a Storeman but I wouldn't let that put you off. I would definitely buy from them again.

Great helpful staff, they all know their stuff about the products they sell and that's what you want when you're after information. They have heaps of gear there but most of it is 'specialist' equipment and way out of my league.
I got what I needed and that's the main thing, plus I got it cheaper than advertised as it was the July EOYear sale.

I bought a motorcycle lifter, which is perfect for my small collection of super bikes. The hardest part was getting it off the ute - it weighs around 180kg! There were a few nuts and bolts missing (to secure the front wheel clamp). I called Phil who readily got me the bolts I needed that same day, no problems at all. The only issue I'm having with the lifter is a loud groaning noise along with vibration coming from the hydraulic jack. I checked the oil level, which was a little low, but after topping it off the noise continues. The jack feels like it's struggling to lift my bikes, which weigh around 220kg wet. It does eventually lift ok though. Looks like I'll be putting in a warranty claim on the jack very soon.

I've bought my lathe/mill and tooling from "Hairy Forebears" and have been really happy with the advice and service. Sure some of the stuff is definitely only hobbyist level. But they also stock higher quality stuff for those of a more industrial bent.
I'd recommend at least visiting them if you are in the market for a machine.

Quick and friendly service. I used the web to identify what I needed ( a pity the website couldn't tell me if a product was in stock or not), I gave the part number to a very helpful and pleasant gentleman, and within minutes it was all paid for and they were ready to load it into my ute. I'll be back.
