I was fortunate to take one of Nari’s novice knife sharpening courses. The experience was a great balance of theory and practice with me leaving confident in sharpening my own knives. My big take away is that sharper (using very fine grit stones) was not better for the types of food I prepare. A great 3 hours in learning a new skill that I can apply immediately at home. Thank you Nari for your excellent tuition.

My experience with this business was great. I live in Canberra and had to have my knives shipped. Nari was very responsive to my questions and kept me updated on the progress. I had two knives that were worked on, one for thinning and one for sharpening. The quality of work is better than I could have ever done. I am now looking to undertake some classes that are offered by Hazuki Knife.

I would rate 10 out of 5 stars if i could.
I found Nari while searching for Japanese knives for my partner, and i'm very glad i did. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful with the differences in the style of knife, their uses and the steel they are made from, he even allows you to cut food to feel it yourself.
He provides a very high level of customer service, even going above and beyond to help me with a request i had that was outside his normal business scope of works.
I highly recommend Hazuki knife for anything knife related.

Recently posted my set of 17yo Global knives to Nari @ Hazuki Knives for a sharpening service.. They are now better than new! Received them back in the mail within a week. Would happily recommend Hazuki Knives to others, and I will be utilising this business again when the need arises.

Nari did a fantastic job of sharpening my chipped and worn down japanese knife. It now cuts as efficiently as it did when I first bought it. He is very pleasant to deal with and it was all done while I waited.

I’ve had two precious knives expertly sharpened by Hazuki Knives. These were both ultra sharp carbon steel knives from Seki in Japan, purchased over 25 years ago. I used to use whetstones to keep them sharp but they were never quite as good as when new. The first needed a tip repair and thinning. The second had numerous nicks. Both are like new and perfect. The price of the service is extremely reasonable considering the skill, effort and understanding that goes into it. They are far from simply “sharpened” but treated individually as their condition dictates. Could not recommend their services more highly.
