Visiting the Heart Reef was a sobering experience. I was aware that the reef was struggling, but I didn't fully grasp the extent of the damage until I saw it for myself. Unfortunately, much of the reef is dead(97% to be more precise), and the sight is reminiscent of walking through a forest after a devastating bushfire. It's a stark reminder of the impact we're having on the environment. While it's heartbreaking, it's also a powerful call to action.

Awesome reef in the shape of a heart. Only accessible by helicopter from Hamilton Island. The reef won’t always be this shape so visit while you can!

You can buy the flight through GSL aviation. Some people may get flight sickness in the journey, FYI.
However, I think it’s just a little bit of shaking. The view of Great Barrier Reef and Heart reef is just mind blowing and unforgettable. It’s really worth a visit!
