This German butcher is one of the finest in Perth. We have been coming here for 20years and their meat is always top quality. This is the only place we visit when we want traditional Speck and German sausages such as wieners, bratwurst and weiss wurst. Their pastete (house sausage) is my personal favourite.

Yes they do have german style meats, is it the best in town...no...
Vienna's are too soft, meatloaf underseasoned, plus a lack of presentation ( comes with lack of customers)
Rather pricy, difficult to park and exit and a rude owner makes me travel further for that german kick...

German food quality in Australia... I've missed the taste and here it is. I'm so happy I found Hela... I always go there. Pumpernickel, Pudding, Sauerkraut, Schinkenwurst, Schwarzwälder Schinken, and "diversen Allerlei" 🥰

Everything about this place is great. Fantastic tasting small goods (and I should know, I am German), mostly local, at a great price AND made from free-range meats.
Plus they have a great range of actual meat (pork and beef) and the yummiest, locally baked bread. You have to try the caraway seed rye!!
And at Christmas time, I can even indulge in all my favourite sweets and treats. Feeling blessed that I live just about 1km away from the shop 🙂

I regularly make a 20K round trip to buy sausages and cold cuts here. Best sausages, smoked meats and boiled ham in Perth at very good prices. They also sell fresh meat and imported German foods. Check if they are open if you plan to make a trip. They close for 5 week holidays at least once a year. Which tells you how successful their business is.
