If I was able to give negative stars on our experience with this store, I would.

The lady we dealt with was pleasant and friendly - that’s about it. The rest has been a diabolical disaster.

We bought a mattress from them to be delivered. Lay on it in the store, and it was fine. The one we got delivered (five days late, and the fault of a broken down truck, not the store) was like lying on a plank of wood, and nothing at all like the one we thought we were purchasing. It seems we are unable to get a refund on this piece of rubbish - and no paperwork with the delivery.

The aftermath?

1) there is no phone number for head office to call regarding our dilemma. An email has so far gone unanswered.

2) the store is meant to be open during the week - on Tuesday, Wednesday and today, I have phoned multiple times with no answer, and when visiting the store in person, the store is closed on both Wednesday and Thursday. Not sure why no one answered on Tuesday.

3) on phoning other stores to try and get an answer, all have been less than helpful. One fellow from a NSW store told me they were short of staff in Windsor, but in all honesty, if a company like this doesn’t have a single employee available to open and close the store during weekday hours right before Christmas, there has to be a big problem.

It seems we are stuck with a terrible mattress and no one to contact regarding getting it refunded or replaced.

NEVER EVER SHOP WITH THESE PEOPLE - a terrible experience. I dearly hope no one else has this sort of problem.

I paid for a bedroom suite 6 months ago and every month I call them to ask when it’s being delivered and they tell me it will be delivered the following month. I have called the Windsor Store several times for a refund and they advised they are not authorised to give a refund and it needs to be done online. I have completed the form twice and still no refund. Do not buy from any of their stores. They refuse to refund and refuse to give their head office details. They have now sent me an email to stay “I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you that our stores in Queensland have now closed. However, please rest assured that this will not impact our commitment to fulfilling your outstanding orders.”

This “company” took over $3k for a lounge suite from a family member back in May 2024. No lounge. No refund. This is happening to lots of people. You have been warned. Next stop - Office of Fair Trading.

Purchased a gorgeous 3 seater lounge and Sam was so helpful and patient. Will definitely be back (probably sooner than expected as I'm thinking I need the Ottoman too).

Just had my new cupboard delivered. I had been searching endlessly for a certain type of cupboard with no joy. Should have just gone to Windsor in the first place. Sam, at the store, was wonderful and the delivery service was excellent. They turned up on time and were very careful. I am very fussy, but I could not have had a better experience. The cupboard is extremely well made. Thankyou Home Sweet Home and your delivery service.

I was very pleased to stumble on Home Sweet Home store at Windson. I have been searching endlessly for a chair for my home office for the past eighteen months. As I browsed through the store I was impressed with the range and quality of the furniture. Especially the showroom is set up with accompying decorating accompanments. I was overjoyed to find the perfect chair and even though it was part of a dining setting Angela reassured me she would do what she could to locate a single chair for me. I will certainly be returning to the store when I need anything for my home. I have told everyone I know to visit the store before they purchase elseware because they will more than likely find exactly what they are looking for. If it is not on the floor Angela will do everything she can to locate the perfect item for you. Thank you so much Angela for your attention to detail and kindness.
