I love this hangout! Moving from Sydney's Inner West to the Gong, I really thought I'd be leaving behind those great, grungy bars you find in suburbs like Newtown & Enmore... but apparently not!

Howlin' Wolf attracts an eclectic crowd, from the alternative, fringe dwellers, to the Lads of for a few bourbons, to the Self-Funded Retiries who remember the fun they had back at bars like this in the 90's!

The bar's hidden down a small arcade off Crown Street (near Corrimal St). Although they now do simple bar meals, there's now also the recently opened Zeus Street Greek (also see my Review of this place) literally just across from the entrance.

So I'd highly recommend dropping into Howling' Wolf for a looong Happy Hour (4pm-7pm) then grabbing a Zeus Lamb Pita Wrap for dinner!! ?✌️

Been to this little bar many times, a moody little number. American bar feelings through and through. Super, super friendly staff. Super great selection of whisky from all over. Lovely.

Can’t go wrong with a booze and juice 10/10. Their food is amazing! Split the burgers, chicken bites and squid and it was so good. Definitely recommend!

Great bar, for small groups. Huge variety of drinks. Music is always good, good crowd. It's not a huge place, so it can get squishy, and the dance floor is tiny. But it has an easy-going, fun vibe. Staff is always happy and helpful.

Had an amazing experience the other night at wolf. Was served by a waitress (I think her name was Coby…not sure) who was nothing but professional and kind hearted. Will go back just for her famous peanut butter jelly shot. Thanks Coby!

Love popping in here when in the mood for a night out , great service, fantasic atmosphere, and thumping music.
If you get the chance play a game or two of Jumbo wood block Tower, do it, it's great for a good laugh 🙂

10/10 would recommend!!!!! The music has no continuity and is so cheesy...but that's what makes it amazing. We were drinking whisky and this place has a decent range.
Love the vibe and the incredible service!
