This business has sent an unsolicited "bill" to my child to pay them for her business name renewal. She has previously paid ASIC directly and has never had anything to do with this business. Evidently, they have obtained her details from ASIC and tried to trick her to pay them. Absolutely appalling.

I have tried to get some assistance from ASIC. Unfortunately, their response was superficial and unhelpful. Evidently, they do not care. It seems to me that this should be an enquiry for the Hon Dr Jim Chalmers MP, who is currently overseeing ASIC in his capacity as the Treasurer of Australia.
