Have stayed in most of the cottages around the Porongurups over the years but this was the best comfortably. Spacious, well equipped and with delightful owners on site, who provided a wonderful continental breakfast for the first morning including great fresh baked home made bread and eggs straight from the chicken's butt! Beds were comfy, it's air conditioned although we didn't need it and so very quiet. Lovely views, woods at the back for a stroll in and easy access to the local wineries and new distillery. Just excellent!

Jilba farm is an absolute delight! Perfectly situated for hiking the Stirling Ranges, Porongorups and Castle Rock, there is also a balcony to enjoy sunrise and sunset each day. Jo and John are wonderful hosts, we were lucky enough to learn a bit more about what they do on the farm and try some of their delicious veg. A very special place that we hope to return to!

Joan and Jim of Jilba Cottage are excellent hosts. The cottage was spotless. Very comfortable and had everything you needed. The breakfast provided was really yummy. We loved how private and peaceful it was and the view from the cottage over the farm.||Jilba has one of the finest private gardens we have seen and it was a delight to be able to walk around and admire it and take in the smell of all the beautiful flowers and the sound of the birds. It's only a short drive to the National Park to enjoy all of the walks including the Granite Skywalk witch you can also see from the property. Or you can walk into he park just outside your door from the farm. Joan had all the maps and information that we needed so we didn't miss anything. We loved our weekend At Jilba and will definitely be returning.

Jilba cottage is a modest, well appointed cottage. We found it to be quiet, clean and comfortable, with loads of amenities (such as a washing machine, tv, the usual kitchen gadgets as well as binoculars, board games, puzzles, books and dvds). Artwork featuring the local flora and fauna was a nice touch. The breakfast provided was tasty and a generous serving at that!||The views from the cottage and property are lovely and there are walking trails behind the property. During our stay we were lucky enough to see various birds, rabbits and kangaroos.||Joan is a lovely host (she lives on the property in a separate building) and was a wealth of knowledge regarding the area and surrounds. ||A downside to the cottage is that it is only accessible by stairs, which may be a problem for some. The bottom part of the building is used for storage. Also, there are no blinds in the kitchen and living area, leaving one a bit exposed at night.||All in all, Jilba cottage is a great base if you are visiting the Granite skywalk and hiking the various trails that are on offer in the region. A hidden gem in the Porongurups!

Haven't stayed there yet but popped in to buy some food. Jo was very friendly and welcoming, we bought some zucchinis, olives, garlic, tomatoes and honey. The Mallee honey is absolutely delicious. It's nice to have somewhere here where you can buy fresh homegrown veggies.

Accomodation was excellent, very cosy, very clean, warm and felt like home
Joan was so lovely and we felt that she put her heart and her soul into this house.
Breakfast was so nice, large variety of food, plenty there, we had it for two mornings.
Bed has electric blankets, kept u warm at night.
Very satisfied, highly recommended to everyone 🥰🥰

Joan is a great host and was very helpful with lots of local tips.||Quite frankly - this is the most well appointed accommodation I have ever visited.||The attention to detail and the amenities - were second to none.||The homemade pastries, fresh milk, fresh orange juice were just the tip of the iceberg in terms of service and hospitality.||Bedding was very high quality and the electric blankets were very cosy; after all, we were in the Porongurups in winter.||The accommodation was in first class condition and everything worked well.||The views to Albany and the Southern Ocean were fantastic.||All in all - the accommodation was the icing in the cake for a fantastic and memorable weekend in the Porongurups.
