We had Ben and Brad renovating our room and we couldn’t be happier! They both were two of the hardest working, enthusiastic, polite, punctual and respectable workers we could have asked for and their work is impeccable. They made everything easy, answered any questions we had and took our ideas into account and helped with any other queries we had.

If you’re looking for a renovation, we can not recommend them enough. Absolutely ecstatic with the finished product.

I wanted a mirror and picture rails put up in my new home and wasn’t sure who to use, but found Just Screw It online. A consultant came round to give me a quote for the job and explained how it would be done. A few days later a carpenter arrived who was absolutely brilliant. He was so thorough, highly professional and had a lovely manner. The mirror is up and absolutely perfectly placed. The picture rails are gorgeous - very securely attached to the walls and absolutely straight along the wall. I am delighted with the work and attention to detail. Thank you, Michael!

Can’t thank the Justscapeit team (the landscape company of Justscrewit) enough for the amazing garden space they have crafted for us. We first came across their work around our neighbourhood and could immediately see the quality and care they take so reached out to them for a quote.  Rhys produced fantastic diagrams and detailed estimates well beyond anyone else, and that really helped confirm the scope of our work - then it was executed by Brad and Patrick who have a lot of landscape industry experience between them. Especially appreciated the lighting recommendations. They were also happy to take on board some minor changes we made along the way and importantly, the total cost came in right on the estimate that Rhys made at the beginning.

The regular comms between all of us helped make it such a smooth and pleasant experience. We’ve already been recommending them to our neighbours and will definitely use them again for other work in the future.

We have used JSI previously and hired them to help manage exterior work that primarily involved rendering our aging 2 storey home and replacing a deck that had passed its used-by date. The initial quoting from Chad was efficient and friendly. The prep work proceeded quickly and we were into the rendering phase done by Matt (Luto Mouros Plastering). I cannot speak highly enough about Matt and the quality of his work, it was simply exceptional and transformed the exterior of the house - thanks Matt! Moving on to the deck phase of the work, this involved replacing a rotting wooden deck with a new ‘maintenance-free’ composite deck. Here, JSI used their own carpentry team. A huge shout-out to Ben Smith and his team, they did an outstanding job and the deck and custom-made bench look amazing. Ben is a true genius and I cannot recommend him highly enough!

While the quality of work was generally excellent and Colin (scheduler) was responsive and a pleasure to deal with, there were some bumps along the way that could perhaps have been avoided. Mainly this came down to communication (both mis and lack of) particularly over some of the cost increases during the work. It is inevitable that you will often end up paying more than quoted due to both unforseens and add-ons, but when that is down to major issues being missed (e.g., significant drainage work required for the deck, much more substantial structural work, decking materials required, and the ballustrade which I ended up sorting myself), it does cause stress. I think this could largely have been avoided if the trade is involved in the estimation process as it then causes stress for them trying to work to a budget imposed by the estimator. There were also specific issues relating to work required on the roof gutters that again boiled down to crossed wires and mis-communication. I think JSI could have been a bit more hands-on with the project management. A simple suggestion of actually coming round to meet the client and discussing the work at various stages (and letting them know you are coming) would go a long way to ensuring a smooth-running project. It seems a lot is on the trades and client to manage day-to-day issues, tricky at times.

In the end, we are very happy with the outstanding work of Ben, Matt, Monte (tiling), and Kevin (painting) and arguably that is what is most important. Thanks guys!

I recently hired JSI for the second time, and once again, they exceeded expectations! This time, I needed help repairing studs in an internal wall that had rotted due to water leakage. From start to finish, their professionalism, punctuality, and attention to detail were outstanding.

I cannot recommend Just Scape It highly enough. Rhys' inspired design took our small inner-west backyard and transformed it into a jungle oasis that is not only gorgeous to look at but gives us a whole extra living space! I've used JSI a lot and recommend the company without reservation. They show up reliably, give full informed quotes, take the time to explain, are fully responsive to any queries or suggestions, and provide consistently good, solid work. JSI has a cadre of workers, a full time office staff, and an intelligent and responsible management team, all of which makes for a good experience and - economies of scale! The most recent work done was installation of large outdoor windows in my garage, enlarging a window in outdoor study, paintwork and clean up. There were the usual small hold ups - such as an outside brickie not showing up - but they solved it. No small contracting job is without its minor hitches but JSI always keeps me informed and finishes the job in a good time frame.
