We recently had the pleasure of dining in this beautiful restaurant. No amount of photos will do the decor justice, because it's simply stunning. You have to visit to bask in the ambience. It is like being transported to another place in time, where kings and queens dined in elegance. Jacqueline did an excellent job in decorating.

The food was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend the wine pairing. Chef Frederick is very talented and you can certainly taste it in his delectable creations.

Our waiter for the evening was Thady. His service was amazing. All around, this was a memorable evening, and looking forward to dining here again.

Hard to describe how magical it was to eat here! An experience on another level. Service was impeccable, decor was warm and in a class of its own. And then of course the food which was amazing!!! My husband forgot to tell them I was coeliac, but they went out of their way to accommodate me which I truly appreciated! The size of the dishes in the 9 course meal were larger than I’ve had at other degustation places and the wine pairing was super generous! I hope these guys are around for a long time here in Albany because this is truly a first class experience!!

We've attended a few classes now and it's always a pleasure and delight to learn to cook with Fred and Jacqui. Fred's so patient with repeated questions and gives clear, easy to follow instructions, and Jacqui is such a warm presence and always so helpful. Recipes can be replicated at home and I enjoy showing off new dishes to guests! Will definitely be coming back, first class experience every time.

My sister and I attended the French bistro cooking class and loved it. Chef Fred and his wife were so hospitable, and it was a pleasure to learn some French cooking recipes. Fred guided us through making each dish, ensuring we produced a delicious result. Eating all the dishes at the end was the cherry top of a wonderful experience. Thank you both!

This is without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences, I have ever had. The Friday night degustation was excellent, with every course very well prepared.
In addition to the restaurant, the cooking classes are also superb, with all the food prepared being sampled in the superb decor of the restaurant.

I originally signed up for the Winter Warmers class in August when Kirby's first opened for cooking classes. I went in very nervous with not much of a clue of what I was doing having only ever cooked for myself and sometimes very poorly, but I was determined that I wanted to increase my repertoire and improve. I ended up on the station with the Beef Wellington and promptly thought that I was out of my depth. But boy was I wrong!!! Not only did I succeed at making the dish it was one of the best meals I have ever had.

Fred who I enjoy calling Chef is amazing. Very patient and all of his explanations are easy to understand, and the class goes by so quickly with the end always having amazing food that everyone has made. I left my first class with a new outlook on cooking. I have since done the Pasta and Gnocchi, Spanish and Sunday Roasts classes and every time I leave a class, I have more knowledge that I find is transferrable to other recipes I attempt at home. I won't say I don't make mistakes at home but every time I do I can either find my mistake by walking back through what I have done, or I save the question and ask Chef at the next class I do.

If you are looking to improve your cooking skills or looking for something to do on a Saturday or Sunday then I highly recommend doing a cooking class. I fully intend on doing more of these amazing classes in the future.

Thank you to Kirby's for providing a venue and event last night that will be set in our glowing memories for all time. We expected the meal to be good, but instead it was out of this world next level perfect. The special atmosphere and wait-service could not have been bettered, and is something that I haven't come across since leaving Britain more than half a lifetime ago. Etiquette, manners and civility that made our event so very special indeed. Hats off to all involved, in the hope for Michelin Star recognition soon.

Wow !!
What an experience
We celebrated my birthday last night there with a group of friends . The food was exceptional!!
The attention to detail is amazing from the food plating to the decor . A shout out to the attentive staff Zachery and Megan who made our night even more enjoyable. Well done Jacqueline and Frederick , we will be back .
