Kurtosh has to be one of my favourite dessert spots. We tried some of their new cookie flavours, classic Kurtosh and their new strawberry matcha and they were all so delish! The staff are very friendly and had some great recommendations, the service was amazing and the atmosphere inside is cosy and warm - it’s perfect spot to enjoy a coffee and sweet treat. Kürtősh is an absolute gem! The freshly baked pastries, especially the Pistachio and Hazelnut Kürtősh, are a must-try—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with flavor. I also loved the savory options like the Spinach Ricotta and Eggplant Burekas; they were flaky and delicious. The breakfast combos are a great way to start the day, with the Roast Beef Toastie being my personal favorite. The Iced Matcha Latte is the perfect refreshing drink to complement the treats. The staff is friendly, and the cozy ambiance makes it a great spot to enjoy a coffee or snack. Highly recommend!

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent visit to your place. We were walking around Wollongong CBD looking for a good place for desserts and coffee And I went to this place with my family, expecting a pleasant experience, but unfortunately, it turned out to be quite the opposite.

Firstly, the desserts we ordered were not fresh, even though we were assured they were made that day. This was disappointing and misleading, given the quality that was promised.

Secondly, the staff’s attitude left much to be desired. They were unwelcoming, inattentive, and didn’t seem to care about the customers. Tables were left uncleaned, and we felt there was a general lack of courtesy and hospitality.

The biggest concern, however, was the hygiene issue with pigeons. There were numerous pigeons flying around and even landing on the tables, machinery, and near the coffee preparation area. At one point, a pigeon defecated on our table, which was extremely unpleasant and unhygienic. The presence of these birds raised serious doubts about the cleanliness and overall safety of eating at your establishment.

For the prices charged, we expected a much higher level of quality, cleanliness, and service. This experience has made us very hesitant to return or recommend your café to others. I hope you address these issues to prevent other customers from having a similar experience.

We tried the tiramisu, duo mousse, strawberry cake, and pistachio cake. Overall, they were just average. The duo mousse was fantastic, but I was really disappointed with the tiramisu—it tasted more like cheesecake and seemed like an old batch. The service was decent, but the atmosphere definitely earned a solid 3 stars.

Very cute low lighting place with wooden seating. Pretty selection of pastries, most notable being the Kürtösh (recommend the cinnamon one). Would be 5 stars, but last time I went in, they wouldn’t serve even though there was still a bit of time before close

The sweetest place to visit, full of sweet people and even sweeter delicacies. I had the brownie cookie with peanut butter filling … wow! I almost died. It was incredible. I wanted to order 6 to go, but had to restrain myself. There are other great looking options, and the whole underground decor is really funky. Open late for a lovely evening sweet snack experience! We’ll be back 😘
