Mchugh Steel made the process of building our new shed a breeze. They were very willing to work with me to design the shed that would meet my needs. Whilst i had a list of key wants in the shed, i had no idea how this could be converted to a design that i was happy would meet my needs. Staff were always very easy to deal with and if i was unable to reach them initially they would always return my call promptly. At the end of the day i have a well built shed that completly suits my requirements, The shed was reasonably priced and despite a very busy time to be building a shed i was pleasantly suprised at the speed that the shed was erected. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Not for me.
Whilst delivering my order McHughs driver crashed into my fence and destroyed my letterbox.
Treated me like a fool when I rang to notify them of the damage.
No attempt to rectify the situation after promising to compensate me for the damage.

Sadly, I cannot recommend McHugh Steel to anyone. I ordered a pair of colourbond gate panels to be fitted between two brick piers. Not only did I provide accurate measurements of the gap but also sent in photos of what I was trying to achieve.
I was somewhat taken back by the price of $1850 for the pair of panels but nevertheless paid the price having been convinced by the salesperson they knew what they were selling.
Some 2 months later and after several calls to McHugh to see where my panels were, they were found in their yard and made available to me.
No assistance to load them onto my transport and more importantly, none of the discussed accessories were included, - things like hinges, latches etc.
Now, when I brought the gates home to be installed, we found that the panels were 50 mm longer than the quoted length and additionally, this was not a panel pair but both had the reinforcement bar running the same way.
I contacted McHugh for a remedy and after some towing and throwing, the operator said he would have to put this to management. Needless to say, the same "Management" never seemed to do a thing about it and I am stuck with sub-quality gate panels that are too long for my pence
I have had significant cost and inconvenience of the thing but McHugh seem more interested in their big sheds and their dorky music advertisements
This is what I have had to resort to or throw away the $1850 worth of a gate and buy from someone else who knows what they are talking about and cares what they sell people
Never, ever buy from those people again.

We recently purchased our shed from McHugh Steel. Gillian provided fantastic service. Her skill set, knowledge and bubbly personality was a major reason in choosing a McHugh shed. I also dealt with Belinda who ordered and delivered everything without a hitch. The erector did a great job and he wasn't bad to look at which was a bonus!
