I was referred to Dr Lekich by a friend and the entire experience was world class from start to finish.  I also went and saw a Urologist just to see the difference between procedures and I was personally not keen on going under a general anaesthetic.  I was anxious about the procedure, however once I was briefed by the nurses and met Dr Lekich, I was at ease.  The procedure was less invasive than I initially thought and I was completely comfortable.  I have just completed my three month pathology check and the procedure was a success with no issues.  I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Lekich, his team and Metrocentre.  It was a very straightforward and non invasive process.  Thanks Dr Lekich and team.

The procedure itself exceeded my expectations (4 stars). It was low pain, well handled by the doctor and staff, no complications at 5 months post.

The follow up has fallen short and it was not an inexpensive option.

3 months after a vasectomy you need to be tested to confirm it was successful. I was given the wrong sample jar, I had to visit the pathology centre and get the right one beforehand - and it was only luck I stumbled into the issue in advance (not all/many labs take these samples so I'd called around to organise).
1 week after dropping the sample off there'd been no news, I called the lab and they said 2 weeks was more normal. Called at 2 weeks and the test had come back, but hadn't been sent to the doctor because his details had been left off the request slip (apparently, this could be a lab issue and not the clinic). I provided the requesting doctor's name and they said they'd send it immediately. Called the clinic 2 days later, told I would be called by a nurse once the result was available to them (again, unsure if the lab didn't send, sent wrong, or the clinic hadn't caught up on processing).
2 further weeks after that I managed to find my result (successful procedure) without any help from the clinic.

Appreciating the skill of the procedure and that it's reversible and low complication rates - for $1400 I'd expect to know the outcome without chasing - as without that it's practically moot.

So, 4 star procedure (exceeded expectations) and 2 star follow up (below expectations) I am marking as 3 stars.
