An interesting country pub with a good menu. We had the super special pizza and that was hot and really nice. Place had a wood fire burning providing an interesting ambience. Probably very old country pub style not like the modern snazzy places you get these days. Recommend to visit and have a bite.

We popped in for dinner. The lady behind the front bar was amazing. So welcoming, friendly and a pleasure to be around. She a lovely person who is a big asset to the pub. We ordered pizza, chips & gravy. Trust me you will not be disappointed. Absolutely beautiful home cooked food with love and taste put into it. It was delicious. We will definitely be back when passing through again. Great little town. Thank you guys

Absolutely love this place staff are amazing always great for a chat and a laugh great atmosphere. Great food and great service can't wait to come back to Mt barker just so I can come back down here for a Rum, chat to the bar staff and a feed compliments to the chef and owner. Thank you 👌

Ordered a feed from the online menu for takeaway, the total was $64 , when I went to collect I was told $96. When I enquired I was told that the prices online were the old prices. Great and friendly service, menu online needs updating immediately.

The meals are good value for money. The kitchen does seem a little understaffed.

Should probably have gone for one of the fries options as the potato mash curry wasn't too tasty and unfortunately took a very long time.
But the staff was nice afterwards, so would give it a 2nd chance next time 🙂

We pre booked for group of 8, a week in advance. Arrived at 7pm and all ordered by 730pm. Didn't get food until 830pm, wasn't even busy, no apologies or explanation of our meals taking longer than normal. No offer of discount or drink for the delay. Rather disappointing as the food was nice once it arrived.
