Worth a visit if you are looking for something to do, the building was created from site sourced timbers and has a great crafty log cabin feel. The property exterior isn’t anything to rave about but the local area is a nice drive with good rural views. As for the wines and ciders we enjoyed a tasting paddle board each and took away a bottle of wine and a cider liqueur. Strangely we didn’t love the Rose, it seemed quite different to the tasting, maybe the year was different? I didn’t check. 🤷‍♂️ As you can see in the video the $15 paddle comes with cheese and olives which was nice.

This winery is quiet and charming. The owner is very friendly and patiently explained the different wines to us. The tasting paddle came with delicious cheese and organic olives. For cider lovers, the Tangletoe Organic Cider is a standout, with its warm flavour and subtle nuttiness. Their lovely dog, Eurydice, was incredibly gentle and friendly with our young children. We would definitely recommend mountford winery.

My husband and I visited the cellar door and enjoyed our time here. We had a lovely view of the vineyard from our window seat.

For tastings, you can select 4 to try. The tastings came with some cheese and fresh olives which was a lively surprise! There is a charge for tastings, however this is free if you make a purchase over $20. We were very happy with this arrangement. We tried the 4 ciders and 4 of the wines. My favourite was the Pinot Noir (make sure to try this one).

We enjoyed 2 tasting paddles and it was great as you could choose anything from their vast selection and try something new. They included a few olives and bits of cheese which really complemented the flavours and also cleansed the palate between samples which was a nice touch. If you purchase anything then the paddle is free. The scenery is stunning and the wines and fortified wines were very tasty. It's definitely worth popping in if you're staying in the area.

What a delightful, beautiful little winery and cidery. Sue was so friendly and knowledgeable and the tasting paddle simply delicious. We came away with some good old fashioned scrumpy cider and a bottle of the reserve chardonnay. 👌

A beautiful, rustic winery surrounded by avocado plantations. The owners were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable and our tasting platter of organic wines and ciders included some delicious local organic cheese and olives. We left with two bottles of their beautiful certified organic wine and will definitely return when we are again in the area.
